I applied for the job through remote.com. The company reached out and offered me an interview. The interview was done over Microsoft Teams and done completely by text. Once they announced I had the job they sent me a check for 2,000 dollars then told me to send another "Company" to pay for a laptop for the job. I sent $950 to the lady thinking I was buying a laptop for the job. Then they told me to send the exact same amount to the same person for a printer. That's when I realized it was a scam. The bank said their 2,000 dollar check went through but will most likely get pulled back which is part of the scam.
