I purchased QuickBooks Desktop pro plus 2024 software via Groupon. I was not permitted to see the seller until after I had paid. I did receive a semi-working copy of the software. I can use it with my previously established QuickBooks files. However, I cannot create a new company, nor can I receive support from Intuit to help solve the problem. According to Intuit (who makes the software), I am not an "authorized user" on the license key I purchased, and they suggested that I reach out to the seller from whom I purchased it to ask to be added to the key. I have done that, and subsequent to my chat and email conversations with them, and their refusal to help, I realized I have been scammed. In their chat, they tell me to email, when i email they tell me to call their "support team" and when I call, I get a non-working number (302-729-8982). So I called the number on their website 985-999-3722 and it goes straight to voicemail. Only then did I look up their name and found multiple complaints on scamadvisor.com. (I was not privvy to their name or information prior to the purchase, and did not realize I had a non-functional version of the product until i attempted to create a new company). So, it's too late for me to get my money back from my credit card company (over 30 days), but I wish to warn anybody else who might come into contact with them.
