I applied for a Data Entry Clerk position on LinkedIn and was emailed by a “recruiter” to set up an interview. The interview was set on Skype and the first red flag was when I was told it would be over instant messaging instead of a voice or video call. I followed through with a portion of the interview and ceased contact after more red flags were revealed through instant messaging such as improper grammar and personal questions. The interviewer asked for bank information to deposit my first payment and I ceased contact immediately without revealing any more information.
