I get calls from this company daily from different phone numbers. Sometimes local, sometimes not. It's always a recording. Sometimes it's about legal action being taken. Sometimes its about a complaint being filed against me. Sometimes abouts about collecting a debt. Sometimes it doesn't even say. It's always rather threatening. The whole "If you don't call us back legal action will be taken against you in [x] days," kind of nonsense. Almost everyone I know also gets calls from them so it's not just me. It's almost like they hacked my contacts list.

I received phone calls stating that i owed a debt to a company that i never heard of, and that the time period to dispute these debts had past. They said if I refused to pay the debt theywould seize my bank accounts, freeze all my credit cards and file charges on me for fraud. Of course they offer convenient payment plans and different amounts to settle the charges.

The calls come from a local number, leaving an automated voicemail, stating this is an attempt to collect a debt. I blocked my number and called back, spoke with an [censored] named Adam, with a very thick foreign accent, who assured me it’s legit. Indeed, it is not, and I’ve reported to authorities. A vulnerable person would’ve fallen prey to this scam.

The scammer first left an automated message with the website and a telephone number stating that this was an attempt to collect a debt. When I went online, it said I owed money for a credit card I supposedly had for eight mos in 2010. When I spoke with one of their representatives, she refused to give me the company address and never emailed me the paperwork she claimed had all the details I needed regarding the debt. They also started texting me without my permission; now, they are harassing me via phone calls and text messages.

They did mot leave any details at all. Just said if Im in a position to pay now, press 1 but never gave what company, amount or any other details. Even my own name! Very generic and said if i suspect its fraud to hang up now. This was in a voicemail because my call filter blocked the direct call.

They call from spoofed numbers, state that you owe a debt. REFUSE to provide proof of debt. REFUSE to provide a mailing address, one slipped up and sent me an email with their address (most likely it is as fake as they are). Sent a request of debt validation, no reply. They call from multiple numbers threating to sue me, serve me "official papers" and then called from another fake company Hill Creek Law Firm. DONOT respond to these bottom feeders!

They called me from a 405 area code phone number and they had a toll free 866 number on their webpage and left a voicemail. Their webpage looks legit but the only way to get going on the webpage is to put in the number that they called (which would be my own). This is not legit business. I did not move forward in it.

The scammer left a voice mail. I have gotten several of these calls and should have been reporting them all. I am estimating I have receive 20 of these calls. The personally identifiable information is my phone number. Nothing else. The following is a transcription of the voice mail. "Ah yea this is a courtesy notification that your account has been transferred to our office for immediate recovery action. To stop possible further activity or credit reporting, we have a few easy options for you. If you prefer electronic communications, go directly to our website at www.jmlegalteam.com or if you prefer to speak to someone or use our automated system and are in a position to resolve this, call back ASAP at this number. Again, you can go directly to our website J as in John, M as in Martin legalteam.com. It's jmlegalteam.com. If you call back you can choose the option to have a link texted to you if that makes it easier. Our goal is to work with you but if there is no communication we can't and our hands will be tied. I do implore you to resolve this right away. By law I am required to inform you that this communication is from a debt collector."

Received a call on September 16, 2024. I sent it to voicemail since I did not recognize the number. They stated:

Yes this is a courtesy notification that your account has been transferred to our office for immediate recovery reaction to stop possible further activity or credit reporting so we have a few easy options for you. If you prefer electronic communications just go directly to our website at www.jmlegalteam.com or you prefer to speak with someone or do use our automated system and are in a position to resolved this just call back ASAP at this number or go direct to our website at JMlegalteam.com if you choose to call back you could choose the option to have a link texted to you if that makes it easier or go to work with you but if there's no communication we can't and our hands will be tied to I do for you to resolve this right away by law and required to inform me this communication is from the debt collector thank you…”

I received a recorded phone call from "JM Legal Team" about a debt lawsuit. My options were press 1 to speak to a person or to go to their website at www.jmlegalteam.com. I hung up after the recording and was unable to verify the business through google and BBB. The website looks professional, but upon further examination, it raised some red flags. The biggest one that their "home" "sign in" and "contact us" buttons were not functional. When clicked, the last path of the URL changes yet still displays the same front page. They called me with a local 225 area code but their website lists (866) 781-8637 as their contact information. I called that number and it was connected to a company called Dignified Home Loans. It is based on CA according to ScamPulse.com but I was unable to verify the phone number with the ScamPulse.com search or on their website www.dignifiedhomeloans.com.

This was a very well thought out scam. It is good enough to catch a lot of people that cannot identify a fake website. The call was recorded but was not AI and was very convincing as a debt collection attempt. Please get this removed as fast as possible.
