I received a recorded phone call from "JM Legal Team" about a debt lawsuit. My options were press 1 to speak to a person or to go to their website at www.jmlegalteam.com. I hung up after the recording and was unable to verify the business through google and BBB. The website looks professional, but upon further examination, it raised some red flags. The biggest one that their "home" "sign in" and "contact us" buttons were not functional. When clicked, the last path of the URL changes yet still displays the same front page. They called me with a local 623 area code but their website lists (866) 781-8637 as their contact information. I called that number and it was connected to a company called Dignified Home Loans. It is based on CA according to ScamPulse.com but I was unable to verify the phone number with the ScamPulse.com search or on their website www.dignifiedhomeloans.com. This was a very well thought out scam. It is good enough to catch a lot of people that cannot identify a fake website. The call was recorded but was not AI and was very convincing as a debt collection attempt. Please get this removed as fast as possible.

This company called and text multiple times. It’s wasn’t till 11/19/2024 when I received a call from jm legal and they told me that in the credit card companies policy, it said that I waved my rights to statue of limitations and they can collect on this debt up to 30 years. I asked for proof of that statement and I was email something total different. I contacted the credit card company and they told me that my debt was sent to Capital one. I contacted them and they were able to find the card in question. They told me that their notes on there and only go up to 2009 and there’s no mention of the debt being sold to anyone. On 11/20/2024, JM legal contacted my mother in Philadelphia and demanded money from her. She’s 80 years old. I informed her that it was a scam.

I keep receiving threatening calls like this one! "We have made several calls to this number and have not heard back And it's gonna go back to the Skiptrace department for relatives, neighbors, employer, searches if we're not able to make contact So I would strongly encourage you To return the call today and get this matter resolved For further action takes place on this matter We have been trying to get in touch with you and spend several several messages left There's been no prior dispute So this point we're moving forward if we don't have a resolution immediately OK, we're here to work with if you'd rather I'll handle this yourself without having to talk to somebody again you could do that on the self serve portal atjmlegalteam.com jmlegal team.com or just give this call number back to speak with a friendly agent that can help you We're here to help but you just gotta do you gotta take the first step and call us back Thank you…”

The call didn't go through but they left a voicemail saying "Possible please take this seriously and call us back or go to our website directly to handle this. There are chat agents available if you need assistance. The website address is jmlegalteam.com again that is jmlegalteam.com thank you." The lady who left the voicemail did not introduce herself, say my name or even say the reason for the call and sounded like a fake recording that started playing halfway through when the call was sent to voicemail.

This company keeps calling from multiple phone numbers different people, never says what there calling for other than a debt which is bogus. They provide not information just threatening phone calls. Website sign in and contact us links don't work. Phone number on website is different than all phone numbers they use. Website looks professional at first glance but has no information on it and wants you to input your phone number. Very shady and well thought out scan. Don't fall for it!

I received a voicemail stating that if I did not return the call, a skip tracer would be activated, and they would contact my neighbors, family, friends, and workplace until I responded. After hearing this, I visited your website, but it raised my concerns further. The site lacks a physical address and contact information, and I have never heard of the debtor mentioned.

I contacted Advance America, the company that JM Legal claims I owe money to, but I have no prior knowledge of them. After doing more research, I found that the Better Business Bureau has issued warnings about potential scams related to the company. Additionally, I noticed that you are using various phone numbers to reach me, and none of them appear to belong to JM Legal, as they are registered to different individuals.

They have left me messages in the past and today they left two saying that they will start contacting my friends, family, and business associates. There is no identification of what they are calling about or that they are a debt collector. No name given on their side, just referring me to go to their website.

Claimed an unpaid debt and claimed they sent a notice which we never received, and asked us to go to the website jmlegalteam.com "if you are able to satisfy the debt". Given our excellent credit and no unpaid debts I am not worried about the legitimacy of this claim. Wording on phone message is non-verifiable (ie: "it looks like our collection notice went unanswered" is ambiguous at best). Checked online and see that many are receiving similar phone calls. The website was registered on 2024-07-30, so this already looks like a fishing expedition for free money.

voicemail left from (314) 626-1219 "Yes, this s a courtesy notification that your account has been transferred to our office for immediate recovery to stop possible further action and or credit reporting. We have a few easy options for you to prefer electronic communications. Please go directly to our website www.jmlegalteam.com or if you prefer to speak with someone or use automated system and are in position to resolve this matter now please press one. Again, if you're busy right now and want to handle this later, go directly to our website. you can choose to have a link texted to you by law we required inform you this communication is from a debt collector." They then called a second time and left this voicemail "This courtesy notification that was recently sent to you was an answered resulting in your case, till being unresolved here so it to stop further action and or possible credit reporting please go to jmlegalteam.com or if you prefer to speak to someone and are in a position to take care of this please call us back and an agent will assist you. We need you to take care of this now as it is very important"

Caller left voice mail message demanding payment for non-existing debt. I returned call and requested information. Representative asked me to confirm last four numbers of social security #. I refused to confirm any information and again requested information of any debt. Person stated account was referred to them by client "SBC" then refused to provide any information and hung up call. Three days later another voice mail from caller repeating previous callers message.
