Initial call was recording stating "the IRS has a suit filed against you please call us at 404 891 0356" so I called and a man in a call center answered. His name was "ADAM SMITH" his IRM # 2247 (Internal Revenue Member number)

said "the IRS has a suit filed against my Brother for tax years 1995 to 2000. Funny thing is, my brother is disabled and has NEVER had a job in his LIFE. He has been on disability and is not required to file taxes. When I told him this ADAM said "Do not lie tot he IRS ma'am". I told him i really didn't believe he was with the IRS and he hung up the phone. They had his name, birthdate and asked me for the last 4 of his social. I did not give them the opportunity to tell me how much money they wanted.

Consumer was contacted by phone and was threatened with arrest if she did not pay $5664.33 on an Itunes gift card. The caller ID listed was 724-974-3676, 509-214-2209 and 347-671-0483.

I received a voice message stating that a debt is owed and call back immediately with the Dept. of Treasury. no amount mentioned. When returning the call back only a recording to leave a message.

I woke up this morning and there was a message on my machine saying we were being sued by the IRS. I was like what is going on? So when I called the number back no one answered. When I *67 them and dialed the number I asked who I was talking to and she said Karen. I asked who I was calling and she said Kentucky Fried Chicken. (KFC) So I asked why they called my house saying we were being sued by the IRS? No answer. She just kept asking me if I wanted to order something. Don't know what kind of scam this is, but I know it wasn't the IRS and probably not KFC either. I told them not to call my house again. There number is 603-307-9869. Thank you for your time.

They started calling about 9a.m. on 7/6/16 and have called three times today, the last call was at about 12:45pm and they said, This is your final warning from the Internal Revenue Service and I hung up (it's a robo call).

Was told that she would be arrested if she did not pay the fee. Nikki Johnson was the name they used.

Called saying they were IRS and they would send someone to arrest me.

I received a call apparently from the Tampa area claiming I needed to call back because the IRS was going to sue me. They left a voicemail. I did not answer or return the call.

The number they called from was 813-895-7943.

The voicemail said: “This call is officially a final notice from IRS. Internal Revenue Service. The reason of this call is to inform you that IRS is filing a lawsuit against you. To get more information about this case file, please call immediately on our departmental number 813-895-7943. I repeat 813-895-7943. Thank you”.

I received a call from a company claiming to be the IRS, they have been calling me numerous time. I have not spoken with the caller and the last call I just hung up. The other number was 575-441-5296

I just received the second call today. I let it go to message. The message was the same as before I owe money to the IRS. They left a different phone #

They left a message on my answering machine. I called them back. The man with a heavy foreign accent said that I owed the IRS money and he was going to give me the information that I needed. After he asked me my name and I told him he knew what my zip code was. He then told me that he was officer John Roberts and his ID# was GS6704 and my case # is BC94135. He then asked me when the last time was that I filed income taxes. I told him if he was from the IRS he should already know that. He then said that he was just trying to verify information that he already had. I was going to stay on the phone and try to get as much information as I could but I got to mad because this phone call was costing me money and I knew it was a scam. I thought getting information would help but as I find out I should not have even called back because now my name is being sold to many people and I will be stuck with a lot of unwanted calls.

Robocall stating the IRS is going to file a lawsuit for past due taxes.

received a phone call from this number, (foreign man) stated that our tax man had made a mistake on our taxes and we owed more money. Stated that we need to get this matter taken care of immediately or there would be consequences.

Said they were filing a lawsuit against us

Received 2 calls today from Steve Moddix (sp?) concerning U.S. Treasury Enforcement. Ignoring this will be an intentional second attempt to avoid initial appearance before a magistrate judge for a federal criminal offense. His number is (844) 432-5962. The first time he called I told him to "go to hell!" and hung up. He called back tonight and left the entire message on my message box. I found similar scam reports on your website so decided to report this call.

Claimed to be IRS

I received a voice mail message stating that they had checked my tax returns from 2010-2014 and that there were some inconsistencies. They said they did an internal audit and found that I owe $7500.00 in back taxes. I talked to a lady of Indian decent and she gave me her badge number and a case number. She said I had two options, either pay the amount today or go to Washington DC with an attorney. She said my property could be seized and my drivers license revoked. I told her to hang on and I hung up on her.

Fraudulent calls claiming to be IRS filing charges against me. Heavy foreign accent.

I got a call-v/m saying the IRS was suing me and to call this number. I wanted to report this to BBB.
