I was contacted by telephone on 12 Jan 2016 three times. The individuals all said that I needed to contact the IRS because they were filing a lawsuit against me. The numbers that were left on my answering machine were 202-754-8446 (once) and 346-303-9917 (twice).

I did not return any of the telephone calls.

When I arrived home from work on 12-16-15, there was a voicemail on my home phone left at 9:37AM stating the following: "The reason for this call is to inform you that the IRS is filing a lawsuit against you. To get more information about this case file, call immediately to our department number 470-447-7891." I did not return the phone call but wanted to report it to the BBB.

I'm repeatedly receiving a call claiming back taxes from 2004 & 2006 as well as a pending law suit, no amount stated. When I asked why his local office was not calling me the Caller then disconnected.

Consumer explained that the woman she spoke with had a thick accent, hard to understand. Phone call started with them leaving a message on the home phone, "they needed to get in touch immediately... representing washington DC... US Treasury". Can't understand what they were saying, could hear people in the background stating the same information (i.e. pay $5,000- $7,000 in order for the police not to show up). "after we hang up if this matter isn't resolved, the police will show up. The woman kept saying "well what do you do" consumer said "are you suggesting I pay you now over the phone"? Callers name is Annie Smith Badge# 11536 (this is how she started off the conversation (intimidating). 202-595-9434 called at 10:03 am 10/07/2015
