They pose as IRS...threatening my ad 85 year old mom...telling her if she doesn't pay what is due she can go to jail. After 4 calls I called them...very strong accent obviously from a foreign country inform them that we know about their scam ...they said that this was real and I better take it seriously lol

In the past two weeks, I have received multiple phone calls--on my land line and also my cell phone from the "IRS" saying I owed money and that they are filing a lawsuit against me. The calls are all computer generated. I have caller ID and if I do not recognize a phone number, I simply do not answer. So I have not answered any of these calls. They always leave a message saying I need to contact 607-431-8951 immediately. What can I do to stop these calls?

Caller claims to be Officer John Wright from the IRS informing me that an arrest warrant has been issued by the IRS.. Instructs to call 650-488-5442 today. There is no ANSWER when the number is called.

Received call on my cell phone it was an automated message saying that the call was my last notice and that the IRS would be filing a lawsuit against me and stated a number for me to call back, which was the same number that came up on the caller ID. After the message I hung up but did not call back.

Received IRS lawsuit call on my cell phone. Told me to call the ASAP but I did reply as I knew I didn't have any issues with the IRS and of course they wouldn't call me if they wanted something from me. They would send a registered letter I think for sure.

Have received several recorded messages (at least 5-6) in the past couple of days stating that our case will be turned over to the county offices and we will be arrested if we do not return the call from the IRS. This is a robo call. Very annoying.

Called my home phone yesterday and talked to my husband. He knew that is was a scam and gave the guy a hard time. The number that called my home phone was 346-204-8410. My husband was able to call that number back yesterday.

Phone number out of Washington DC leaving voice message claiming I am being sued and to call immediately. It is an automated call leaving the message. I just don't respond.

An "officer Bill" claims to be an IRS AGENT using the phone number 832-761-6076 on 11-09-2015 he called thereatening legal action on unpaid taxes unless a Walmart card #was provided.When informed call was being recorded he hung up!!

this started on 10-26-15 saying they have a law suit against me for income tax not being paid. Then on 11-5-15 I received another phone call from Granger, Wa. phone #509-383-4385 and then again with phone #509-383-4526 and his name was Fred Martin and it was for taxes 2009-2014 with a mistake for 4,500.00 and then I was told the sheriff would be at my door and arrest me and it could go to 7,500.00 and if I wasn't home an warrant would be written to arrest me and I said I wanted to talk to an American as this was foreign and couldn't understand him so another guy came on the phone and assuming it was the same guy and his name was Jason Williams phone #202-239-2301 Senior officer treasure dept. They also told me someone had been to my home in Jan. and Feb. but no answer so they took pictures of my home. I said I wanted this in black and white and will contact my lawyer.I hung up.

Called and left message stating they were the IRS and their call needed to be returned. When the phone number was called back the consumer told the "IRS" that this can not be real as the IRS only contacts you by mail and the "IRS" hung up.

Rec'd a phone call this am from cell phone in Texas. Automated female stated "This IS the IRS and this is our final attempt to collect...

Phone call indicated that the IRS had been trying to reach me (not by name). Said that they were about to file suit. The number that the call came from (from caller ID) and the number to which the call should to be returned were the same. It was a 202 area code which is the Washington, DC, area. I think that the IRS does notifications by mail so didn't return the call figuring it was a scam looking for SS number, etc. Three calls came in before I blocked the number.

Left a message on my home phone and basically said it was a final notice and they were filing a lawsuit against me. Described themselves as Internal Revenue Services. The s on the end tipped me off immediately. I tried calling the number to get more info but got no answer.
