The scammer took over a friend’s identity, complete with her picture, to lure me into a pay to gain scheme. My friend had me reach out to the attorney to get the grant. The so-called grant was offered if I would give wiring info for my bank and pay their huge “fee”. I backed out after I realized this was not my friend. It was a convincing ploy in the beginning as I really thought it was my friend.

Hello a couple of days ago I got a message from a friend telling me about this IMG International Monetary Grant that I could get and you don't have to pay it back all you have to due is text this # 210 343-2499 and tell them your interested in the grant let me know what I have to due they text me back saying all you need to due is give me your full name D.O.B your address and a picture of your license phone # monthly income and did you ever applied for a grant before so I did it sounded way to good to be true so then they sent me there grant details claim # (FB-225-***) ticket # (FB- 172-**) Batch Number FB-0281/***) serial Number (***-2019/20) they wanted to know if I wrote them down I asked if I had to pay this back they said I won't pay it back then they said that I qualified to receive the grant . then they said I have to choose the amount I wish to claim from them and you will have to pay the tax fees and they would make every effort to ship my order today so your grant can come tomorrow so the amounts go from $15,000.00 to1,000,000 so you have to pay 10% of the amount you choose so if you picked $15,000.00 you would have to pay $1,500 so I asked were would I be sending my payment to they said you will be making the payment tp our accountant bank I still wasn't satisfied and ask more questions then they told me this is a new grant and it would be closed by July 15th 2019 this grant is in accordance with section13(1) (n) of the national gambling act as adopted in 1993 and amended on 3Rd July 1996 by the constitutional assembly So I have asked a couple of times to my friend that sent me the info about this grant to answer me one question that only she would know is where did we live when your children were little and she never would answer me so I facetime her and didn't pick up so I believe that they hacked her profile to scam people on her FaceBook page I have not been able to contact her as of yet but I receive messages from her messanger I have not sent any money and my sister tried this to so they were texting her trying to get info on my friend that gave me the info of this grant and she wouldn't give them the info she told them the same thing where did you live when your children were little so yes I think this is a scam I hope they don't do anything with my information The guy gave me his name it's Carl Bobzien so people please be careful I just got confirmation that my friend didn't send me this info and that her profile was hacked
