I believe I have been targeted by a scam, a gentleman called me with an oriental accent and told me that he was with the IRS and that if I didn't give them $8,000 right away that they were going to send me to jail. The gentleman couldn't get what he wanted out of me so he put his supervisor on the phone, he was also oriental.

A number called me twice today regarding unpaid taxes that I owe the IRS, and left a pre-recorded message stating, " This is a notification from the department of treasury. You have been served with a legal lawsuit and warrant for your arrest has been procured under your name. Call us back immediately before we take legal action." I called them back later in the day. The number was out of Miami Florida, however the woman who answered was Indian and said she was calling out of Washington D.C. She asked me for my name and I gave it to her unfortunately & spelled every letter out because she couldn't understand w\anything I was saying. She then said I had a fine of $20,82$ in unpaid taxes. I asked her how and she said that my taxes were filed wrongly. I told her that's impossible and that I live with my parents & have an accountant who files them for us. She then hung up. She now has all my information; my name, age, & telephone number..

I was sent a letter in the mail with the heading "Property Seizure Warranted". Nothing about the letter looked legitimate. It had some blurry seals in the header that are not the Seal of Idaho. It has extra large font telling me to call their number immediately for unpaid taxes in the amount of $7,548. There is no account numbers, claim numbers, or reference numbers on the letter. I googled the phone number and it seems to be linked to a pop-up on computers that tells people to call immediately because their computer is linked to a virus. I did not call the number, I'm reporting it first.

Received many calls from "Scam likely" number, robocall, stating that I have serious tax related allegations charged against me and local police will take me in if I don't call into 6463553159 w/in 24 hours". English is very broken (i.e. use of English sentence is extremely fragmented and hard to make sense), hence raising a flag that this is an international scam. Note that I've received many calls from these folks, hence discrediting their authenticity.

I finally unblocked the number and called it back and the person who answered said that they were with IRS Investigations and that I owed money. I told him I did not and said to have me taken off list. But they are probably calling a lot of other people.
