A woman named Lauren called last Friday and again this morning saying she was from IL. Amer. Water Co. asking to take part in a water sample survey in the subdivision ( Wash. Estates) that I live in. She wanted to drop off a bottle with instructions for me to take a water sample and after she picked up the sample, she would have my water bill credited by $50.00. Friday night, I called IL, Amer. Water and they said that it was a scam.
