I saw a listing on the Mercari App for plumeria cuttings (exotic trees). I reached out to the person whom I later found out was using a fake name from a character off of a show. I had sent messages back and forth asking questions. Initially "Corbin Dallas" was responding to me. I later when to a couple plumeria Facebook pages and posted pictures of the cuttings I just ordered. I was immediately informed that one of the cutting was AI generated and was a fake! I reached out right away once again through messenger on Mercari. I got no response even after several messages. I did receive two very small, shriveled up DEAD cuttings. On the return envelope it was listed from PlumeriaHutt.com/nursery out of Florida. When I looked up the address it is the Post Office address with no box number listed. I looked up the website and called and spoke to "James" the owner. He PROMISED me that after a week if the cuttings did not survive he would replace them at no addition cost. I did leave a bad review as far as my experience with them on Mercari. I did not want the app to auto generate a GOOD rating automatically after 3 days. When I called this morning to speak to James and explained that both cuttings rotted and did not make after doing exactly what he said to do. He told me that since I left a bad review he would not hold up to his guarantee that he has listed on his website as well as the listing on Mercari. I have taken screen shots of his Mercari profile and description of plants. I have documentation about me reaching out for him to make this right only to be told this morning too bad and to never contact them again. They would not hold up to their end of the bargain for replacing the cuttings. According to several of the FaceBook plumeria pages I later found out that him and his wife have been scamming people for years.
