- Denver, CO, USA

I got a “FINAL NOTICE” saying “ This letter is to inform you about an important matter regarding the property at (address), secured by your current lender who is (lender name). We reserve the right to revoke allocated waiver after seven days of receiving this notice please call immediately as this will be our final attempt to notify you.

Then there was what looked like a check for the amount of $199.00 but it says “allocated waiver” and says “this is not a check”

- Pendleton, OR, USA

Received a card in the mail showing from county deed records, stating that

We had to contact them four registration of home warranties. There was no identifying information on the card of a company sent from, just a 1-888 number, registration number and a pin.

Obviously a scam did not contact

- Gresham, OR, USA

I have received several letters from this company stating that...

"This notice is to inform you that the property's home warranty, at 2617 SE 190th Ave, Gresham OR 97030 secured by ONPOINT CMNTY CU, may be expiring or may have already expired. Our records indicate that you HAVE NOT CONTACTED us yet to get your Home Warranty up to date."

I do not have any kind of anything with this company, let alone home warranty insurance! The letter they sent is TOTALLY MISLEADING BECAUSE THE WAY IT'S WRITTEN GIVES THE IMPRESSION THAT THE ACCOUNT IS PAST DUE! When I called them to ask them to remove me from their list I had to give them a 'Customer ID' number that was on the letter, and the person I spoke to said she 'would see what she could do about getting me reinstated'! REINSTATED?! If I hadn't known better, it could easily be assumed that the recipient, me, had a past due account! Isn't this considered fraud? I can see older people falling for this very easily! In the past I have contacted them, asking them to remove me from their list, which obviously did not work, but this time when I asked I was told they do not have a list. I would appreciate anything you can do regarding this company's deceptive business practices!

Thank you very much!

i received an official looking letter that looked to be from my mortgage company. it said Please call immediately as this will be our final attempt to notify you. the letter included what looked to be an official check, although if you read the fine print it said it is not a check. It also said "immediate response to this notice requested. and FINAL NOTICE. when i called they answered "home warranty department" and said my home warranty had expired and in order to reinstate it in needed to do something. I knew I didn't have a home warranty so I told them they were scamming me and hung up. I'm reporting what happened because I don't want someone else to be scammed.

Got two final notices for home warranty in the mail shortly after buying my house. They have no identifying information except 2 different numbers and US postage codes:

Scammer sent me a letter in the mail about a final notice noting it was extremely urgent and time sensitive. Mans name was Evan Gates said I need insurance for the inside of my house and my house would be "red flagged" he became angry with me when I told him I didn't want to continue with what he was offering. I told him I didn't need what he was offering me and was trying to to convince me he was not scam. He was using a scare tactic to make me feel like I need the insurance he was selling. Told me to pay 195 to start. Then a payment of 227 a month for the first 18 months. Then no payments for 3 years. He claimed to be the manager then when I didn't want to be part of the insurance he was selling he said a manager would be calling me to speak more about the insurance that I didn't want to be part of. He was convincing me through the phone after I said No. I didn't feel comfortable and I wanted my money back. Still I have not received my money back and I had to cancel my debit card

Threatened that this was the "FINAL NOTICE" to "get your Home Warranty up to date."

- Welch, MN, USA

Received this threatening letter in the mail that our Home Warranty was about to expire from the Home Warranty Dept of an unnamed business. The only identifying information on the letter was my name, address, a 5 day time limit to respond, and a fake check voucher for $199, and the scammer's phone number 1-888-413-5452. I did not respond, call or anything, this was obviously a scam. Image of the scam letter available upon request.
