Was quoted 80$ for them to diagnose the issue with the ice maker. They diagnosed it, and told me that it would be 317 to fix it, unless they needed parts. They then said it would be 1300$ in parts. I told them I wasn’t ready to pay that today. They did not refund the difference for not fixing it. So I’ve now spent 317$ to have an ice machine that is as broken as it was before I called them. I would have been fine with the 80$ diagnostic fee. But to have me pay 317 dollars to fix it. Then leave without fixing it. Unbelievable. Sad to see this has happened to multiple people.

service offered was gas stove repair. sent a "service man" with an $80 house call charge; which would be absorbed into labour costs if estimate accepted.

man was here about 20 mins said i needed a part and it'd be here 5-7 days and I had to pay NOW the cost of Part. Rest to follow on installation." there was no indication that part might not even be available or that it could be on back order

Nearly two weeks later I had to call and was told no part was available; there was no tracking order number and no estimated time for either. Theyd call me.

they did not- 7 days later I call and CANCEL order . Rep said" she'd put a ticket in for refund and tell mgr. I was disputing having to pay "labour" charged that hadn't been done. three days later no call, as promised. I called AGAIN...."no settlement recorded or cheque ready; as promised-again. shed have mgr call. NEVER DID.

they've lied to me every time I've spoken to ANYONE; and they still have my full $500.00

We (my common-law-husband and I) needed someone to come look at our washer machine that had been acting up. I found them on the internet. The reviews on the website were all 5 star so I thought why not give them a try. I proceeded to book an online appointment. I got a phone call from a lady to book an appointment and she proceeded to tell me that it was $80 + tax for them to come out. The technician would do the diagnosis and if we proceeded with the work the $80 would be waved. She also said they only take Debit or cash. I had 3 hours to cancel the appointment if I wished. I then got off the phone and searched some more reviews that were not at all comforting but thought I'd go ahead with the service anyhow. The technician called me before arriving to let me know he'd be at the house shortly. They pulled up in a regular car, which I thought was odd, not a service van, and there was 2 technicians, which I was told would only be one. They pulled a tool bag from the trunk and we invited them in. I questioned why no service van and he told me "since COVID". We showed them the washer and explained what was happening with it. He sounded like he knew what he was talking about so we proceeded. Mostly because I had already done some research myself of what the possible issue could be. Everything is on Google anyhow! He told us if he wanted us to do a full service on the machine, clean it and make sure all was working properly, it would cost $295+ tax. We thought about it for a bit because we were iffy but thought because the machine was 5 years old, maybe it would be a good thing. He told us if he found anything wrong with it then, he'd let us know and we can decide what we'd like to do. So we let them do it. We were asked for payment for this right away before they started. I questioned why I was paying before any work was finished and he didn't really have an answer except, "that's how we do it". Stupid me, paid via debit. We went upstairs and left them to service the washer machine. After about 15 minutes or so, it didn't really sound like they were doing much, just talking in their language. I went down to ask if "everything was ok". The lead tech said "yes we are just running a test on the machine". When I asked him, his body language was a bit off. He was rubbing his eye and he couldn't look me in the eye and he started to talk low. I had to lean in and say "pardon?" He then found the right words to explain what could be wrong with it. So I went back upstairs and after about another 10 minutes the lead tech came up and told us that 2 "sensors" needed to be replaced. He then explained it would be an additional $315+ tax for them to install these new sensors and the machine would last another 10 years. I rebuked because I was already at half the price of a brand new machine. He tried to argue with me and convince us we needed these sensors. He said he could call head office to see if we could get a discount of 30 or 40 dollars. I laughed and said 50% would be better but they couldn't do that. We were very adamant that we would not be proceeding and it would be on us if something else happened to the washer. At this point I didn't feel comfortable with the situation and wanted them out. **** ********* ** ***** ** ***** ******** ** ***** ** ** ***** * **** ** **** ******** *** ***************  All their "service" entailed, was putting the washer on "quick wash" and watching it go through the cycles, not even finishing the cycle. They told me to let it proceed to the end of the cycle. They were here a total of 45 minutes. After they left, we did not feel very good about the experience and knew we just lost out on our $333. I then proceeded to check out some Google reviews and there were over 360 "scam" reviews. Needless to say I added one as well as one on their website. I can't understand why this company has not been shut down yet. This is absolutely ridiculous and absurd and needs to be addressed.

This company advertises a charge of $80 to come out and diagnose the problem of an appliance. After diagnosing our washer and dryer they charged $350 and the problem was not fixed. They claimed that parts needed to be ordered and we would be incurring Another four or $500 for each appliance we did not proceed with the company but had somebody come out to get a second opinion from another company. In the case of the washing machine, no part was actually needed. A seal just needed to be tightened that had come loose , and in the case of the dryer a $30 part was needed to fix the screeching sound that the machine was still making after the initial diagnosis from this appliance repair company. If you read the one star reviews from this company on their website, all consumers have a similar issue . The repair person comes out and charges a lot more than the $80 they advertise to diagnose a problem they order parts and charge a ridiculous amount for the parts and labour and in a lot of cases the appliances are still not fixed. When we try to contact this company They are very hostile and do not show any interest in customer satisfaction. They are out to scam. People who are desperate to have their appliances fixed quickly as they offer same-day service

It’s a very brilliant and simple scam…

The company uses Google Ads to target people seeking appliance repairs.

The process to book is simple and smooth and the “repair person” shows up promptly to make the assessment and charges $80 for their time.

In order to get the money back, the victim is told they must book the repair with the company asap. The quote is exorbitant - way overpriced (2-3x market price) so either the victim pays the money, or in my case, I shopped around and realized what was going on and I lose the “deposit”.

The online reviews give hundreds of examples… ****** ** ********* ***** *****

Hello ScamPulse.com - Please put a stop to this company The A Team Applicance Repair ( 69 CONNIE CRES CONCORD)- take a look at the Google and YELP reviews . They are fraudulent and scamminng many innocent people ! Here is my Google Review , it should give you an idea of what they are doing to people that need an appliance repaired.

BEWARE!!!! This company is an ABSOLUTE SCAM !!! They need to be shut down!! Do not let them in your home. We had a dryer that had a belt break. it was under warrantee and we had to contact a company . My husband is handy and could have done the job, but since it was a warrantee job he called this A team company - since they said they could come that day ( RED FLAG ) he agreed . The repair man (RM)asked for money ($350!!!) before they even started the job, but the RM said he had the belts and would be able to fix it . My husband said OK since the RM was already here, but then the RM took the dryer apart and said he had the wrong belt . He half [censored] put it back together ( left out 2 screw my husband found later under the dryer) and told my husband to fix it we would have to pay an additional $485 !! A new dryer doesn't even cost that much!! He also TOTALLY LIED AND said we needed 2 belts and a new pulley b/c ours was rusted ( it is a dryer still only 1.5 yrs old - there was no rust ). My husband basically kicked him out of the house. I called their hotline and the agent (VERY RUDE) was not giving me any answers as to why the cost was $800 to fix it. I asked for a price list and they said they would email it, but never did. I called 2 other companies both confirmed that our dryer should have been fixed all in parts and labour for MAX $250 . One company ( w a 5 star rating ) confirmed that THE A TEAM is a scam and even threatens people in their own home. My husband ended up fixing the dryer with ONE BELT ( no dryer even has 2 belts like they suggested !!) for $70.

DO NOT LET THIS SCAMMING BUNCH OF FRAUDSTERS into your home !! BEWARE !!!

JUNE 2023

On June 6, 2023 at approximately 7:30am, this writer contacted the company to schedule a same day appointment to look at and repair an appliance. They quoted $80 just to have someone walk in the front door and that there is no cancellation on same day appointments and stated someone will be there between 1100am-2:00pm. Shortly after our conversation I received a phone call which required my immediate attention and required me to be away from my house for the day. I reviewed their own cancellation policy on their website which states I am allowed me to cancel same day appointments as long as I cancel 3 hours prior to scheduled appointment. At 7:55am I cancelled my appointment following their own cancellation policy. They contacted me immediately and told me I had to pay a cancellation fee of $90.40. I read them their own Cancellation Policy over the phone which they replied "We don't care. We don't follow that policy. If you don't pay, we will send it to collections" Didn't want it to go to collections so I paid.

There are so many complaints on the ScamPulse.com about this company and how they scam customers out of money. I am appalled they are still in business
