Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
requesting for balloon decor on 12/14/2024. He said it was for his daughter's birthday party and wanted them to be delivered to *** * *** St, Columbus, OH 43215.
We went over all the details of the event and I sent him a quote of $475 and he was ready to pay in full.
He never asked about my payment method or asked about a contract.
But sent this message after we confirmed the event details.
"Yes, I'm still interested. As for the payment I can send a digital check you can deposit it online.
I'll send a check to your email view the check pic thru a laptop and place it in front of the phone that has your bank app. Go to your mobile deposit option and capture the front and back of the check."
I knew it was fraud but still sent back a message and him I don't take digital check payments and he never responded back.
