Guillermo Mendoza is ***Not a General Contractor - Not a licensed Renovator**
BEWARE*** Company : GM Group Miami, INC. A/K/A GMG Construction Consulting, Inc.
Owner : Guillermo Mendoza A/K/A Willy - Willie Mendoza .
On May 2018 A request for pricing to replace 6 - Impact windows including installation and city permits in a Miami Beach Condo. This company came in at a much more reasonable price with promise of quick turnaround. The contract stated a 60% deposit to start the process and then 40% upon job completed. the customer agreed to these terms and a 60% deposit was given and cashed immediately. Shortly after the company president ( Willy Mendoza) stated he had health issues and the job would be delayed. The customer was sympathetic and agree to the short delay. After almost 3 months delay, Mr. Mendoza requested additional monies to help give an incentive to the window installers to complete the job quicker " because we were in "Hurricane season" . The customer agreed to the additional monies. Mr. Mendoza set dates and times and would cancel the day before and or on the very same day. The customer missed work days and travel due to his lack of respect for the customer. After 6 months of promises not being kept and Mr. Mendoza being passive aggressive with his promises and threats of not completing the job. He offered the customer the money back to not have to deal with this job. The customer agreed to cancel the contract and requested her money back. He then informed the customer that he was filing bankruptcy and that she would be at the bottom of the list if he sent her a letter. He promised to pay her back on a schedule of which only $1,000 was paid from $6,000.00 . The customer hired an attorney and found out this company is not a General Contractor as he stated no permits were ever filed in the city of Miami Beach. This person has been served and awaiting trial -for monies owed. June 2019 still waiting for response . Set for Trial July / Aug. 2019.. Police report beng filed.
