I believed I was making a reservation on the website for Campbell Inn in Campbell, California, but I was actually making it on a website for a company called Guest Reservations, a third-party ticket booking website. They added several hundred dollars to the fee that I got from the Campbell Inn, and charged my credit card. On the Campbell Inn website, underneath its name, the words "guest reservations" showed up, with a note below that in very dark and difficult to see letters saying "this is a private company." But I didn't see that small note and assumed that it was part of the Campbell Inn's website.

It appeared I was making reservations with Hilton Hotels. Only after I made the reservation and paid for it I noticed I was on a different website. When I arrived at the hotel, they said my reservation had been declined because the credit card was declined. I inquired what card and the card number they reported was not mine. So, Guest Services must have given them a bogus card number. I then had to book a room with the hotel. The money Guest Services took was more than double what the hotel cost was in person.

- Norwich, CT, USA

Site showed up in search for Croke Park Hotel. Thought this was the actual hotel website site because when I clicked on the link it said guest reservations. I never completed the transaction but was still charged for 3 nights.

- Stockton, NJ, USA

I reserved one room. My card was charged twice. I want to cancel one of the charges but they told me the rooms are non cancellable and nonrefundable. They scammed me out of $177.32. It is obvious their system double charged me within 2 minutes of the original charge but they refuse to stop it. Priceline.com is obviously a scam and they claim their system problem did not happen and I booked two rooms. Why would I do that for the same person for the same night? .

I was making a hotel reservation and looked up the hotel we wanted to stay with. Evidently I was not on the Hotel's website as I inadvertantly contacted a 3rd party. The woman sounded like she was from India but I didn't worry about that as I thought the hotel must use a 3rd party for reservations. I made the reservation, gave her my credit card information and received an email confirmation. When checking out of the hotel we noticed the amount on the reciept was $186.47 less than we were charged by the 3rd party. The woman at the Front Desk sounded surprised our room was pre paid. Looking at the fine print on the email confirmation the 3rd party says it estimates the taxes charged. "The balance of the charge is a fee, we, the hotel supplier and/or the website you booked on, retain as part of the compensation for our and/or their services which varies based on factors such as location, the amount, and how you booked."

Beware! Impersonates hotels, doesn't confirm booking the moment you pay then, then intimates that the booking still needs to be made. Ended up booking the same room (at inflated cost) twice. Impossible to connect with - to speak with anyone - no replies to emails. Impossible to get anywhere with them.

they used a false website, They impersonate a legitimate hotels website and take over the transaction

I booked 2 hotel rooms for $200 per room per night. I gave them my personal and credit card info and said "Confirm Purchase", expecting the usual resort fee and taxes. No cost breakdown was available before I clicked to confirm the purchase. I was expecting something in the $500 range with taxes and resort fees. The total billed to my credit card was $794. The website added almost $300 of its own fees in addition to $80 total in resort fees. That's more than it cost to book each room! I called within 20 minutes of booking to dispute and they will refund the room costs, but not the extra fee they charged. I'm working with my credit card company to dispute the charge on that end.

This website impersonates legitimate hotel website and then charges extortionate surcharges (40% of the total) without revealing these until after the payment has been made. This is a fraudulent operation that should be closed down.

This company markets unavailable hotel rooms and charges the full price to your credit card before revealing that the product is sold out. It holds funds over 7 business days. I also now receive spam from 3rd party senders after having my information taken by this site.

DECEPTIVE COMPANY
I booked a room for the quoted $151 and after giving my credit info was confirmed at a price of $226. I immediately called to find out why/how and was told that was the final rate after they added on additional charges. I never saw any additional charges in the process but they told me they were indicated and they have a no cancellation policy so it is too bad for me. I explained that this was deceitful and bordered on fraud but they told me too bad I cannot cancel. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY ! Unabashedly deceitful and terrible customer service. NEVER AGAIN

This website poses at the direct hotel website. They give you your rate and ask for your payment info. After paying it shows that you were also charged a service fee of at least half of your room total. When you call them they are totally prepared for your argument and questions. I'm sure it's an hourly routine for them. They would not allow me to speak to anyone in a higher position and eventually offered a 10 percent discount, which I'm sure I'll never see. Sorry thieves is what they are, and there are numerous stories stating the same.

The website is very misleading. They put Guest Reservations after name of Hotel and that combined with a web site that looks like the hotel website you can make the hotel reservation. I called since it was a wedding group reservation and I asked the young lady about it and she said the wedding party did not make a group reservation instead of telling me I was in the wrong website. I made the reservation and then realized what had happened. I called back within the hour to cancel the reservation and they would not cancel. The young lady that refused to cancel or let me talk to her supervisor was Michaela. I thought the law gave a 24 hour grace on all contracts. My reservation number is R1171047561.

This website is a phishing scam that pretends to be the home page of the hotel website you are trying to book with. In this case, a google search of the Travelodge hotel I wanted to book gave this website as the top result. If you book through this website, it charges high rates and is not the real hotel website. This entire company at guestreservations.com is a scam and should not exist. They also use the data you enter in their booking process for targeted marketing purposes.
