Excessive repeated phone calls stating they are Griffin and Associates with an important legal matter and debt that needs my attention immediately to prevent further legal action taken against me.

I received a phone call from 509-261-4193 and they left a VM stating there was a "complaint filed" in their office and that documents regarding my "file" are being prepared to be sent out and that I will need to be present for delivery. They stated they would either send it to my house or come to my work and if I want to stop any further actions from being taken I needed to contact their legal department at 1-833-642-1975. When I called this number I was transferred to a man named Brian and he noted that a credit card was seeking payment for past due charges. He did not give me information, he did not verify anything and just stated that if I did not respond I would get court paperwork and would have to go to court and end up paying $4200. I told this person that I do not have this particular credit card and did not have any credit cards 20 years ago that I would owe anything on it at this point and his response was "good luck".

Keeps calling and leaving messages stating they are about to take legal action. The caller is a Filipino male and represents Griffin and Associates. In the message the caller states that they mailed legal documents but nothing was ever sent. These people say that they will file a case in local courts. We called the local courts and they stated that this is clearly a scam.
