I answered the "private number" call (a friend calls with a p.n.). A friendly guy answered and proceeded with "you won't believe this but it really is your lucky day. You have won a million dollars." I thought it was a possible scam call, but I laughed and played along with his story. Very soon I had won the million dollars AND a Mercedes. So now i would try to get information. What company was behind this, etc.? Answer - a group of charities and businesses. The umbrella name for all of them was Global Internaitonal, and his name was Jimmy. All I had to do was drive to Walmart and get a One Vanilla credit card with $275.00 on it. I laughed and asked who would get this money? Yourself? Well, he would send it on . . . blah blah . . . He would call back in 3 hours to see if I got it. And, he'd like a good cup of coffee when he delivered my prizes! Just for fun, i looked up Global International - SCAM!

He did call back the next day. It may have been an innocent joke or a clever, friendly scam, but I thought I should report it.

Wanted me to get a gift card from Shoppers for $156.00, which is 0.1% of $1.5 million I won (1of 3) from using my credit card, receipts are pulled to draw from?? Then call him back and he will come right over. I give him gift card and he gives me certified cheque for $1.5. Said I would not buy today, but he told me that I can get tomorrow and call him back to come over. Knew my full name, address and postal code. Said business has been around for 35yrs and he has worked there was 28 yrs. Told me his cell number to use so he gets message right away.

He also knew where I shop. Creepy for sure!!

Fraudulent disgusting and misleading talking about having two different contradicting statements telling me I'm I qualify for certain things but then I have outstanding financial claim against me LMFAO this is fraud and I don't care if this company response with the same rebuttal that they've given everyone else! Your company your name your responsibility get your s*** together global international!

I received a message from Jim Kingston for my husband. The caller was John Corlan stating that we need to claim our 4million 5 thousand dollars and our 2018 Mercedes. He left a number to call him back to claim the prize. I did not call back.

Caller states that I have won a large sum of money but I must send them money first. I refused so they stopped calling. Now they call back and ask for ss numbers and copies of drivers license and other personal info. I ask them to send me positive proof of who they are but we get disconnected so I try to call them back but cant get through. The caller id #: 951-251-1345. The name he used this time was David Sherman. I have gotten several calls in the past from Tom Waltamer at this number! Can you help? The co. is Global International

Mr. Michael from this company called and stated he had a cashiers check that needed to be delivered to me. When I asked how is picked her stated that myself along with 15 million other Americans were randomly drawn. He stated my correct address. I told the gentleman I was on the Do Not Call register he stated he didn't understand and keep talking. He stated I would only need to pay $400 and before he could the rest of the amount out I hung up on him and blocked the number.

Consumer reported receiving call from a Jordan Belfort with Global International at 514-654-3304, informing him of contest/sweepstakes winnings, but must give bank acct info for transfer of money. Although there are companies named Global International, phone number given by consumer doesn't match any of them, so unable to connect any of the existing companies with this scam.
