I was contacted via a friend on messenger that ive not spoken to in years. I tried to call her mid conversation and she replied that her phone was not working properly she could only text. I got suspicious if she got 50k why cant
u buy a new phone. I carried on until they conf i will recieve 50k all I had to do was purchas a STEAM GIFT CARD never herd of it. I just told the to f... Off u dirty Scammers and go an get a real job. Evil people.

This person took over my friend’s Facebook account. This fake person had me believing she had received a grant from Global Innovation that she didn’t have to pay back. She went on to give me this agents website. I contacted him. He asked for my name, address, telephone number, and email plus the amount of income I was receiving. Then he ask for the amount of the grant I wanted to receive. He sent a list of grant amounts over with the amount I had to pay in order to get it.I applied for $120,000 and I had to pay $1500 in order to get it. It was so real. I thought I was talking back and forth to my friend and she assured me she had applied for $90,000 and paid $1000 to get it. Then the agent told me to get 3 apple gift cards and put 500 on each card, stupidly I did this and sent a picture of the barcodes to him as instructed. Once I did this he told me my package was ready for shipping but that he forgot to tell me about a $800 stamping fee. My fake friend told me she had to pay that $800 fee as well. I had been trying to call my real friend or so I thought but she said her phone was out of order and that she could only communicate via Facebook. Well, I really started thinking and called one of my girlfriends and asked her for our friend’s telephone number. When I got her number and call her. She told me that I had been scammed because she hadn’t communicated with me at all. When I told agent smith Davis I had no more money , he asked for the name of bank, claiming he was going to help me with the $800 dollars. I didn’t give it to him. So he kept messaging me asking when I was going to have the 800. I didn’t answer his messages anymore. Then I noticed all of his information on texts were erased. I am a senior citizen living on a fixed income. I pray you all catch these people so one else will have to go through this. They are targeting the seniors and low income people because they know we need the money. I received nothing, just lost my $1500.

got a friend request from someone i know on facebook, using their exact profile picture and name and the coversation followed, trying to guide me to a company that has been registered on the web within the last month and all associated profiles contain nothing other than bait to lure people into the scam:

Totally same thing happened to me I had to block them on messenger it just makes me so mad that there is people out there that would do this when the world is in the shape everyone is in just trying to make ends meet they have the nerve to do this I called them out out and told them someone that was truly trying to help someone would not need any money to do so

I was contacted through Facebook messenger by a close friend whom I haven't talk for a while and I this friend have a special connection with me (not mentioning her name for privacy. Shen then told me to text David Clinton to this number 1(202) 855-9285 to apply for money grant from Global Innovation Fund and I did. He asked me who referred me to him and proceeded to mention my friend's name. Then he introduced himself and wanted me to fill out some information to process my loan. Asking my full name, age, gender, monthly income, email address, and home address for FedEx to deliver my package. Meanwhile the lady from messenger keep asking me if I've been contacting with the agent. She assured me that this is legit and already receiving her $40,000 money and paid 4 $500 gold American gift Cards she purchased. Then David Clinton send me a text that I was approved for 30K, 40K, 50K, 80K, 100K and I have to choose the amount. The bigger the amount the higher the processing fee. Then I asked how do I pay the for the processing fee? This is too good to be true. He send me a picture of a gold American gift card that I need to purchase 3 $500 from CVS or Walgreen for 30K that I was approved that I don't need to pay back. I went to Walgreens and there were only 2 left of the $500. Before that, I was praying to God to give me some signs if this is true. On the other hand I do believe my friend and I don't want her to get upset that I decline her help. I went home and did not get the card. I told my husband about the whole thing and he told me its a scam. So then I called my friend on the phone if she was texting me on messenger about the loan story and said she did not. That's when I realized she was hacked using her to contact me. I blocked the phone number and blocked that messenger impostor. I did not lose any money but now I'm afraid that they would do something from the info I gave them.

Okay I was contacted today through messenger by supposedly was my cousin and told me about this innovation fund and sent me a link to this agent they almost got me until I tried to call my cousin and no answer and then my supposedly cousin said he couldn’t talk right now because he had throat pain and as soon as he feels better he would call me then the agent gave me a list of amounts of money I could get and continue to message me about if I went to get the prepaid card for the fees and clearance. I called him out and told him it was a scam. PEOPLE BEWARE OF THESE [censored]!

Message came from S Juanita Harper which is a friend of ours but her last name is Wales but had her picture on the message. We called her and she said it was not her. The message said call 1-510-516-7092 and talk to MARY JOHN to apply for a cash grant that did not have to be paid back. Did not think it was legit so asked her to call us and talk about it. She replied she could not make or receive calls right now as she had Bronchitis ear infection went to doctor yesterday got antibiotic and steroid nasal spray. Doctor said i should refrain from calling and answering calls.Hope that is not bothering you at all. I will call you when i am feeling okay. 3189732123 here's my private cellphone number text me now i will be here to guide you on what's not clear enough to you. Its now 11:47 9/10/20 and i just now got another text from them says good morning how are you doing today? They are still trying. I am not going to answer but thought i should report this.

Friend gave me the info. They sent text to phone wanting info. Said to fill out to qualify. Tried calling no answer, wont e-mail me at my e-mail address. Want mothers maiden name and other info. Don't know for sure but sounds fishy to me. BBB please check it out.

I was contacted on FB by what I thought was 1 of my contacts but turned out 2 b fake. The told me about a Grant they received & told me to apply too. They gave me a ph# name & told me to text ASAP 2 apply. I suspected it 2 b a scam so i never attempted contact.

I was contacted through Messenger by a friend asking if I wanted to take part in a grant program. The money was from a non-profit and there was no repayment. After sending a message back saying I was interested. I received a text message from 417-383-5764. I was told that Jake Davis and Justin Williams from Global Innovation Fund would be helping me get my money. They were to send me an $80,000 check via FedEx. They asked for several things from me, including my full name and my mother's name. I did not give them the information they sought.
