Glamorous Parrots - Emissary Logistics Reports & Reviews (1)

- Daniels, WV, USA • Dec 01, 2023

I contacted Glamorous Parrots (www.glamparrots.com) on 11-13-2023 originally inquiring about an African Grey parrot; however, I changed my mind on that bird and decided to purchase/inquire with Glamorous Parrots about an Indian ring neck parrot.

I received a nice email from “[email protected]” from “Mary and Chris” about their birds, they want them to go to good homes, etc. They informed me that I pay them through “Payoneer” (which I did) in the amount of $669.50 (my Justice Federal Credit Union Visa card) on 11-15-2023 (Payment ID# 606193205).

The agreement between Glamorous Parrots and myself was that the bird would ship on Monday,

11-27-2023.

On Monday, 11-27-2023, I received an email from Glamorous Parrots (glamparrots.com) and was advised, “The delivery agent will get in touch with you shortly about delivery details…”

On Monday, 11-27-2023, I received an email from “Emissary Logistics” (Emissary Pet Logistics) regarding the shipment and delivery of my bird. In this email, I was informed that “insurance” MUST be purchased because the bird cannot fly without a set of insurance papers, in the amount of $1,485.19 (refundable). I was hesitant but I wanted the bird so bad, so I charged this amount since it was “refundable” once the bird arrived at my home. I paid $1,530.05 to “Payoneer” (Payment ID# 610471436) for “insurance”.

Tuesday, 11-28-2023, I emailed Glamorous Parrots inquiring the status of shipment of my bird. I even informed them I had a bad feeling about this. (I feel so stupid and embarrassed).

Wednesday, 11-29-2023, I received an email from “Emissary Logistics” advising, “The transaction has been completed. Your bird will be shipped today. We’ll email you the flight itinerary shortly. We apologize for the inconvenience and delay due to the processing time .”

Wednesday, 11-29-2023, I received the “flight itinerary” from “Emissary Logistics”.

Wednesday, 11-29-2023, I received another email from “Emissary Logistics” regarding a required “Electronic Air Regulator Cage”, basically, due to “fluctuating weather conditions”, the bird couldn’t be shipped to me without this special “cage”. They requested another $1,549.50 (refundable). Right then I realized this whole deal was a SCAM. I refused to pay this fee and myself and “Emissary Logistics” (“Rodney”) went back and forth through email. “Rodney” tried every way possible to get me to pay this additional fee to which I refused and told “Rodney” this was a SCAM. He tried every way possible to advise me this was “legit”; however, I refused. I told “Rodney” to “cancel my order, I wanted a full refund.” This was the last contact I had with “Rodney” with “Emissary Logistics”. I have yet to hear from them about a “refund”.

Thursday, 11-30-2023, I contacted the West Virginia Better Business Bureau about this SCAM.

Total amount scammed/paid to Payoneer is $2,199.55. I never received the so called “bird” and “Glamorous Parrots” and “Emissary Logistics” hasn’t contacted me any further.
