I went to renew my global entry and this form was the main link on the web. I gave my personal info, passport, addresses, DOB, etc. and when I got to the payment - saw they were charging extra and got suspicious - but already gave them my info.

THe site mimiced The TSP Global Entry application website. I searched on Google and this was the first site that showed up, a sponsored site. https://www.google.com/search?q=global+entry&rlz=1C5CHFA_enUS573US574&oq=global+... /> I did not realize it was different until the charge came up which was $149 more that it should have been. I believe that I sent PII to the website, but stopped prior to credit card submission due to the fee being wrong

Impersonated as a Government Website for Global Entry Application

- Pasadena, CA, USA • Jan 09, 2024

I was attempting to apply for Global Entry via the government's Homeland Security site. I did a Google search and this site popped up first (my bad for not verifying it!). I entered personal data including passport #, address, email, work history, etc. When I attempted to pay the fee, my credit card declined the charge, my first indication that this was a fraudulent site.

I was on-line looking for the location of the U.S. Government site used to apply for global entry. I clicked on a site that I thought was a government site, but it turned out to be "service" that collected all of my data, and then asked for $100 for the Global Entry Fee and $149.95 for there service. If it was not so late (around midnight on 1/2/2024), I probably would have just stopped, but at 75 years, I was a bit slow on my realization. The site did not identify them selves on the first page, but just started a questionnaire which you expect when applying for a global entry pass (or passport for that matter). The information included my name address, driver's license, criminal background history (I have a felony conviction from 1969), and questions about future and past travel.

Attempted to submit Global Entry. Provided sensitive personal information. Realized after receiving a text from someone it was a scam and not a valid website.

- Tucson, AZ, USA • Dec 04, 2023

I accidentally put in much of my personally identifiable information into this website thinking it was the official global entry application site. I am not sure if it saved my information or not. How can I find out if it is a dangerous scam site? And if so, what should I do?
