This happened November 26, 2021. I forgot about it until November 2022 when I bought a TV at Best Buy and a two-year service contract for all household electronics that happened to be with Geek Squad. I told them I already had something with them and they checked and told me they had nothing on me. They said GeekTechPro was a scam. I looked in my settings and saw nothing, but I found an icon on my desktop so I deleted it. I again forgot about it until I was cleaning my file cabinet last week. I found the contract and saw that I paid $449.99 on my Visa card. I was installing my printer to my new laptop and following the HP instruction, and there was a problem. I called HP on the phone and he said we needed GeekTechPro. They referred to the Geek Squad trucks parked in front of Best Buy, said that name is for the trucks and GeekTechPro is a higher level working online. I noticed their email had said $369.99 and called it to their attention and they refunded $80. I missed the 7 days to get a full refund because I didn't know what hit me. I have the original emails and contract, if you need copies.
