I attempted to order something from the site garagetoolsus.com using paypal. I was charged but the order showed as declined. I called the numbers on the site and sent an email to [email protected]. I also called my bank and they said the order was in the process of being refunded. There are two different numbers on the website for contact. The second one listed was disconnected. The first number, a woman answered and began telling me about a special deal of some kind for something totally unrelated like she had called me. A few days later I received an email saying they were sorry for the confusion but wanted my info to help straighten things out. This seemed strange since my info was in the first email. I didn't end up getting charged for anything and I guess the limited info I did give them wasn't very valuable. This is certainly suspicions behavior and I didn't end up pursuing it further.

During a google search for an item, I was presented with the item at the site garagetoolsus.com. I additionally found another item on the site that I preferred and attempted to order the item. It references using paypal to insure payment however, I choose to use my wells fargo credit card. The attempt failed twice even after verification. I then attempted to use another card which was also declined. Using the Paypal option specifically also blocked the transaction. At this point I was fully alert to the issue and called the numbers on the site. There are two different numbers for help and contact. The first was a voicemail, the second was the contact number in which a man answered and began telling me about a fee charged of some sort that did not even correspond with the company nor the matter at hand. he responded as though he called me instead of me calling them. When I questioned him whether he thought he called me, he hung up. I then contacted my credit card companies and cancelled my cards. I was informed by WF that the charge was reversed and that they had blocked my card as a result of the attempted purchase. At the end of the day, I was not overly impacted however, I want everyone to be aware of the scam.
