Unauthorized charges after pool filter purchase
I used a Privacy.com virtual card with a total spending limit of $15.00. Immediately after the initial purchase, there were four attempted charges of $200 each labeled "Anthropic Claude Sub." Approximately two weeks later, there was another attempted charge labeled "Amazonprime Membership."
The spending limit prevented these attempted charges from succeeding. I did not authorize these additional transactions and have serious concerns that my purchase was associated with fraudulent activity.
I am reporting this incident to warn other consumers and help identify any related fraudulent activity.
