Urgent hire for transcriptionist position is a scam. I was offered a position by Daniel Morgan with the HR Dept. of GA Telesis, with a congratulations email. The contract letter was sent and I signed it. The person, "David Mayor", phone number 1-718-496-7362 sends a text stating I will receive an e-check and to deposit to my bank and then to purchase the equipment from their vendor. Seemed too good to be true, so I questioned what department he worked in and he said he works for an external recruiter instead of what his email says. Then I got a voicemail from David, who sounds like someone from a foreign country, but no words were spoken. People BEWARE.

Urgent hire transcriptionist job turned out to be a scam

I was offered an "urgent hire" transcriptionist position. I provided a copy of my drivers license before realizing the red flags. There was no phone or video interview. He requested banking information via text message. Which then a "check" would be provided for home office equipment. The email was a .com without any obvious errors. The phone number was linked to a similar situation.
