I received a random call from said company. I did everything and while I was doing everything (set up account, take picture of Id and a selfie holding the ID as well, etc) I had a feeling like it’s fake. Something told me to check my email and apparently, they emailed me the day before they called. But the email went straight to my spam. Coincidence? I’m not sure. Oh and also, they use a W-4 form.

I was asked to send a picture of my drivers license, front and back so I did, thinking it was a real job until today when I found out it was not.

I was emailed a few days ago about a job opportunity and it was saying a package is going to be shipped to my house. I just open it and take pictures of the stuff inside and the barcodes and ship list. I got a few other emails and they ask me to put in my name and address and take a picture with my ID. Then it sent me another website where it asked for direct deposit.

I never applied but was contacted by Shelby Evans from Freight Metro Inc. It most likely is a reshipping scam. They asked all the normal interview questions to see if you are a good fit. Seems friendly and the emails are detailed. They got my name, address and ID. After they have you make an account on their portal, then they ask for your banking info in any form.
