Letter indicated a person with my same last name had died and left an unclaimed "permanent life insurance policy" for $10,800,020.00. The proposal was to split the policy with 10% for charity and of the remainder 50% for me and 50% for them. Other email provided was [email protected]

My husband received a letter stating that someone with his last name died four years ago and left behind life insurance proceeds totaling $10,800,020.00, and that they have been unable to locate living relatives or claimants to her estate. The letter proposed an opportunity for my husband to be recognized as the beneficiary, and if he consented to a partnership with the law firm, 10% of the proceeds would go to charity and the remaining 90% would be split 50/50 with the law firm. The letter stated they were prepared to provide all necessary documentation and support required to substantiate the claim of being the beneficiary.
