Type of a scam: Fake Check/Money Order

Scam Alert – Fake Check Fraud -

I confirm that the email [email protected] and the individuals behind it are part of a fraudulent scheme. They send fake checks and try to convince you to deposit them, often claiming to buy something from you through Kijiji or other online marketplaces. Once you “deposit” the check, they’ll pressure you to send part of the money back before the bank discovers it’s fake.
They are currently active in Canada, and were last seen on Kijiji Canada in October 2025.
If you receive an email from this address, do not respond, do not deposit any checks, and report it immediately to Kijiji and the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre (antifraudcentre-centreantifraude.ca).

Protect yourself and spread the word, these scams can look very convincing.

He agreed to purchase a air sprayer I made the deal sent a certified check for $500 for the purchase of said air sprayer and was supposed to arrange pickup of the air sprayer and thought the deal was was done he sent the $500 to to lock in the the purchase and then so waiting for him to arrange the the pickup you already sent the certified checked me for $500 which I had spent and and then he just goes me and cancels the certified check and so now my 500 bucks is is you know out of my account and then he is nowhere to be found
