A person on marketplace was selling a baby grand piano (a scammer too). Said she had it at the WORLDWIDE FREIGHT FORWARDING AND

LOGISTICS SERVICES. I gave them the tracking code and they sent me a photo and location of the packed piano. The fee was to transport, which was comparable to other delivery fees. Paid and then they asked for more money. I refused. They said they would refund. Never heard back from them.

Large Facebook marketplace scam

- Fake listing of a product like a refrigerator, washer/dryer, or other appliances.

- Offers to deliver for $50, asks for Zelle payment up front, but then steals the money and disappears.

- All from New users who signed up in 2025. Each user has one listing and no other activity.

- Same scam posted across thousands of cities in the country. I estimate 100k listings across different cities and products, probably making millions of dollars.

Here's an example FB marketplace filter to find this particular one:

- Keywords: "Pickup and delivery is available with fees"

- Price: $150

- Title: Samsung Refrigerator

Example search:

Scammer attempted to receive $400 from Zelle to purchase an item from Facebook marketplace. The scammer said she sent 400 instead of 75 and provided confirmation on email .

Facebook post for a nice Steinway. Poster (Jeff Harris) said his wife had died and he wanted it to go to a good home. Very personable and well written communication. Shipper (Mr. Paul) said he could ship it from Florida to my state (halfway across the US) and set it up for $386 (laughable). Required payment in full via PayPal or CashApp. Serious red flags now. Of course did not send any money or info, other than the address of the shipping.

I offered an item for sale on Facebook Market Place. The potential buyer, Andrew L. Mosley, responded saying he was interested in the item, but was out of town. He asked me to text his wife, Candice Litton, on picking up the item at 5:30 pm. I texted her and she replied with asking to send a code to verify that I was a legitimate person selling the item. I was at a family gathering & in a hurry said to send the code. They did and the more I thought about it, something didn't seem right. Especially when they kept asking for the code #. I told them no on it, that it sounded like a scam. I had given them my husband's #, ************, to arrange the pickup and he was also sent a code #. He did not send it to them either. Because they have our tel #'s and address, we are concerned.

I placed an ad on Facebook Market Place for furniture. The scammer posing as a buyer "Pamela Stjohn" offered to buy it. First she requested my phone number which I gave her. Then she requested permission to send me a 6 digit code. That was a red flag. I broke off all communication. research online showed this to be a scammer.

Twisted Curb advertised they sold curbing at $12.00 a foot on Facebook. I left a message I'd be interested feeling that was a great price. Nick ******** called and set an appointment up for an estimate. The first appointment they failed to show. Upon recontact was advised a ball on a truck broke and blah blah blah. Subsequently ******** showed and we discussed options, he said he'd call to set up a time in June. Got a text on a quote at $1400 marked down to $1200 for military service. Well I measured my project which was 50 feet by $12.00 a for equated around $600. Called ******** back and advised about his advertised price on FB. He stated FB posted that and they were trying to change it. He stated they could not honor the advertised price. I told him that was a classic bait and switch. It was not known until I viewed their website for an address they had a minimum of $1000, of which that was never mentioned in any of our conversations. He said they were trying to get FB to change that price of $12.00 a foot but I've seen it still on there at the baited price.

I listed an item on Facebook Marketplace. I had multiple people reach out, then ask to send me a 6-digit code. This seemed weird so I did a Google search and found that it was a scam. I did share my cell number with one person, but never shared to code.

I saw on Facebook this store giving Judy Blue jeans at an incredible discount. The jeans were $9.99 advertised. I ordered a pair @ $9.99, and my credit card was charged $14.98. I placed this order December 24, 2023. I received confirmation of my order and a tracking number. Tracking indicated that my item was delivered on 01/25/2024, but it was not delivered. I sent multiple emails to the company, with excuses from them each time. They told me to check with my family and neighbors to see if the package was delivered to them...I emailed back multiple times to refund my money. The latest email from them offered to refund 60 percent of my money, I told them to refund 100 percent and that I would be reporting them to the BBB.

Scammer was "Selling" a white Yamaha upright piano on FaceBook market place for zero dollars. A woman named Diane had the add up on Facebook; apparently her sister's husband owned the piano and recently passed away. The sister got me in contact with the wife (Jesenia Wolfe) via email, and after an email exchange, I was directed to a fake website with a live chat, to redirect the piano (which was apparently already being shipped) to my address. This is where they try to get money, by asking you to pay for the shipping of the piano. It is quite elaborate, but please make sure you look up reviews of websites before sending any money!

I ordered an office chair from a sponsored ad on Facebook marketplace. It was a “sale” price and I paid express shipping. It was $62 and I entered credit card info, billing, and shipping and contact info. I never received a confirmation email after the purchase went through. I contacted their customer service and they sent me to a tracking site that was all in Chinese. I asked for a refund and they keep ignoring my request.

I was selling 2 chairs on facebook market place. She came by and picked the chairs up and paid with Zelle app. Later the payments were cancelled on my end. I've been reaching out with her for 7 days now. She said "she will pay", but never does. I've sent her Paypal requests and she still has not paid for the 2 chairs she stole.

I was on facebook marketplace looking for a lawnmower to buy. I saw this "person", Cleanes-A selling a lawnmower. had amazon and lowes logos in the add, so i thought it was legit. only after it posted to the credit card did i see the pearllis.com and I didn't know what that was. When I googled, I found the information that pearllis.com is a scam website and i should report to the ScamPulse.com and get my money back from my credit card.

I clicked on a facebook ad that showed Hey Dudes for a discounted price. The website looked like the official website. I placed an order and was sent a tracking number. It originated in China and showed that it was delivered to a different state.

[email protected] is the email address in my confirmation emails.
