I was texted by phone number mentioned. He asked me to signup for Microsoft Teams which I did. I meet a person who then said they we hiring and I gave the person name, address, phone number, and bank I used for direct deposit. I said a was a female. I have since then guarded my identity through the credit bureau. Please don’t give out any of my personal info.

When I called Expedia to request an itemized receipt for travel, the employee who answered the phone told me I had won a $100 gift card, and that I should give her my credit card number to authorize a one-time $2.95 charge. I gave her my number and three-digit code. She then transferred me to another employee who requested that I repeat the number and code to confirm. The second employee also asked for my phone number. When I said that I did not want to sign up for any automatic monthly payments from my account, he assured me that this would not happen. However, an audio recording he played said that my account would be charged monthly. I repeated that I did not want to sign up for any monthly programs or automatic payments. I asked if the employee could resolve my original customer service problem rather than signing me up for this program. The employee angrily said, "you've already been charged! I need to give you the confirmation number." He refused to resolve the customer service issue about which I had called originally. At that point, I understood that this was a scam to get my credit card information. I was forced to contact my bank and have them cancel my credit card. I was unable to have my original customer service request resoled by Expedia.

I went online to the Expedia website to make travel reservations. I had some trouble and called them instead. The phone was answered by an individual who identified himself as Eddison Park, for Expedia.com, telephone number 1-833-272-0212, or 1-866-334-1333. He completed my reservation, and gave me the reservation # RF6348. When I went to pay him with my credit card he told me that Expedia doesn't take credit cards. I thought that was odd. But he said I could pay with an Expedia card. I told him I didn't have one. He said I could get one at my local supermarket. He also said that I could lose my reservation at the price he had reserved. Thinking that I called a reputable company like Expedia and that I was speaking with one of their associates, I went to the market and found that they didn't have Expedia cards. I called him at the telephone numbers given. He told me to get a "google play gift card" and that I could pay with that. I thought that was odd. Again believing I'm I'm speaking with Expedia Travel, I bought the cards and as he requested gave him the codes on the card. He said that my reservations were all set. A few minutes later he called and told me that the numbers I gave him were wrong and could be used. I got suspicious and I told him to forget it and to cancel the reservations. I told him I wanted a refund. He then told me that he couldn't refund my money because the transaction never went through. He said that I would have to purchase other gift cards in order for him to refund my money. Now I was sure I was being scammed. After over 20 minutes of arguing I asked to speak with his manager. My call was transferred to another man. I Didn't get his name. He told me that I would have to buy other cards with valid numbers. He said the numbers I gave them were bad. When I threatened him with an investigation, and called him a scammer among other things he hung up on me. I immediately called my credit card company. They started an investigation. To my dismay they informed me that I am liable for the purchase, because it was I who purchased the cards and gave away their code. I'm shocked that this could happen. How did these scammers hack Expedias telephone number?. It was Expedias telephone number that I dialed and a telephone number I got off the internet. Thinking that the scammers were unable to redeem the cards, I felt that I could give use them instead or get a refund from Googleplay. But I couldn't redeem them. According to Google they have already been redeemed. I called the scammer back. To my surprise I got through. Again he said that the numbers are locked and that they never redeemed the cards.

I'm retired, living on a fixed income. I needed to visit an ailing family member. Which is how I fell into this trap, trying to find an affordable plane ticket for three days. I don't know what you can do for me, I only wish the American consumer could be better protected from these scammers, and that these criminals could be prosecuted and justice can be done. I sincerely hope that you can do something for me. I really cannot afford this loss. I don't know if you could use the following information but her is the information for the purchase receipt, and codes for the googleplay gift cards. The date of the transaction was July 9, 2019, purchased at Stop and Shop Supermarket. The codes for each card is

(0K8 F2FP MR5A ZLYA) AND ( 2RJE 7GW6 EPGL FU99). Each card is valued at $400.00.

Thank for your attention.

Reserved a room through Expedia. The Expedia Service Representative ( over the phone) took it upon himself to cancel my room reservation within the twenty four hours of the reservation causing a monetary penalty. I had told Expedia that I didn't want that reservation cancelled. The phone representative got angry and irrational during the phone conversation. He exclaimed in a heavily accented voice, I'm going to cancel your reservation. When I called Expedia back to ask them to reverse the charges, they said the reservation was cancelled over the internet by someone and it was nothing they could do.Product_Or_Service: Hotel Reservation

I used Siri to get the phone number for Delta Airlines to get a seat assignment for a purchased ticket through Expedia for my Father in Law.

They said there was a promotion going with Ebay. They would cancel our tickets, get us 3 first class tickets together (my husband and I had 2 previous non-refundable tickets through Expedia). They would credit our credit card $400.00 that we had spent on Expedia and we needed to purchase a $400.00 ebay gift card and give them the number on the gift card. We figured it out that it was a scam before we got the gift card. They did cancel our 2 non-refundable tickets through Expedia. Expedia said we are out of luck.

We called Delta after getting the real phone number from Expedia. Delta does not have this kind of promotion. My mistake was getting the number from Siri. Delta said to only use their website and in the future go through the airline directly.

I typed in “Expedia Customers Service” on google & this number popped up (877) 227-7481. They begin to tell me they are Expedia & if I payed using a prepaid debit card my flight price will be lowered. I purchased a gift card for $990 as they asked me to, being that my flight was for $1,153 . I have video of everything. Even them confirming that they scammed me because I was recording.
