Stole $1900 and never delivered photo to bride whose father ended up passing away after wedding.
After the wedding, I uploaded all the photos before mailing the memory cards back to Sarah. I just wanted to have the photos for safe keeping.
Sarah never paid me the $400 that we signed a CONTRACT for, and she never delivered the photos to the wedding couple. This was especially devastating as the bride's father had terminal cancer, and this was the only wedding of his children that he was able to attend. The couple paid her $1900, and she never issued a refund. She essentially took their $1900, and exploited me for free work.
Thank God I downloaded the photos before mailing the cards to Sarah, because I ended up editing all the photos and delivering the wedding gallery to the couple.
Over the next year, me and a number of other couples/photographers who were scammed contacted Sarah to set up a plan for us to pay us back. She never did.
Type of a scam Counterfeit Product
-Collected payments for photography services and then stopped responding to messages/texts/emails altogether
-Attended a contracted wedding for a client and not supplied paid for second shooter and then never delivered wedding photos after 10 months time and stopped responding to the couple
-Hired a fellow photographer to assist with a wedding and never paid said photographer for their time
-Failed to attend scheduled photoshoots with paying clients and stopped responding
-Poaching other states to obtain clients (she is in VA but has clients in MD, CT, NH, ME)
-Lying to clients (saying she was hacked, family emergencies, health issues with Dad/Uncle, visiting family, COVID) as excuses for lack of communication, Instagram being inactive etc. The lies she has told different people at all different times.
-Deleted her website and created a new instagram and website under new name
-Her since deleted Google page for her original business "Sarah Eleanor Photography" and her ScamPulse.com page for that business show multiple negative reviews and complaints.
She has taken $1950 in payments from me for wedding services. I canceled my contract with her original business Sarah Eleanor Photography in June 2022 when I realized she had scammed others and because I did not trust her to fulfill the contract based on these stories. She told me she would refund me the payments sent (minus the $750 deposit) and she has not. She has ignored texts (all marked delivered) calls and emails. She has had some random friend sending me emails sending more excuses on Sarah's behalf about why she can't refund me yet, but stating that she will.
Sarah and her old business, and new business, are a scam. She will take money from couples and then stop responding. She owes me $800 refund I will likely never get and Sarah is being sued by another couple. Another couple plans to sue her if needed to obtain a refund as well for their payments.
