I first received an email stating that they found my LinkedIn resume and thought I would be a good fit for an administrative position they had available. This email came from Paul Girodat ([email protected]). In the body of the email, he required that I contact him via Microsoft Teams in order to move forward with the interview process, which I did. Then he sent me a link to do a one-way interview using a software called SparkHire. I completed the interview after conducting research on the unique interview process and determined that it was likely legitimate. One business day later, I received an email from Mark Nugent ([email protected]) (supposedly the president of the organization) indicating that I had been chosen for the position. This email cam with two attachments in the form of PDFs - an offer letter and a code of conduct/conflict of interest file. I didn't open either file, rather, I previewed them in my email browser. Also in the email, Mark indicated that I needed to contact yet another manager - Rob Brazzel ([email protected]) in order to get started on the onboarding process. The offer letter didn't seem legitimate. The RE: line and the position being offered didn't match, there was no set pay, there was no expectations of the job, etc. This caused me to pause again and conduct research. The organization is listed as legitimate on opencorporates.com and SAM.gov, and both Rob Brazzel and Mark Nugent are valid profiles on LinkedIn. However, when I started asking questions about the offer letter, they stopped responding. This, combined with the email typos, the fact that they would only communicate with me over Microsoft Teams and SparkHire, and the wrong information in the offer letter leads me to believe that this is a scam.

This same thing happened to my daughter. I contacted the real Mark Nugent of North Hill (no 's') Technology and he shared with me that this scam has been going on for a while and it is very frustrating for the actual company and people these imposters are impersonating. I wish there was a better way to get the word out! They even went so far as to send her a check for 'office equipment' that definitely looks fake, and it is! Unfortunately, some people have already shared bank account information for payroll, etc. when this scam is realized. So frustrating and wrong that people take advantage of others searching for a job and take them through this ringer!

Same thing is happening to me now! They sent over the email to have a one way interview through spark hire, that’s where i thought this may be legit and they also had told me to download teams. The person messaging me is named Janis Mitchell email is :[email protected]. I didn’t get much further since i didn’t do the spark hire interview but thank you so much for this because I thought it was a scam as i got job scammed before but this confirms it.
