I was called on my cellphone and the person had my name and a past address.The person did not identify himself by name. He said that I would be served court papers if this money is not paid. This credit card account that he had is 12 years old and the statute of limitations in Georgia is 4 years! They should NOT be allowed to buy old debt information and then threaten me with court papers!

The scammer left me a voice message claiming to be a debt collection agency and said there is a strike against "my account" [no clue what account haha. It was a rudimentary BS scan] and that if I don't call them back or contact them on their website emplegalgroup.com then the situation would be escalated

Got a VM from a male voice (might be a recording) telling me they were trying to contact me about an important matter and I need to either call back or go to their to avoid additional action.

I did a pretty extensive search online and the phone number does not appear to be linked to any entity, however calling it back one gets a recording instructing the caller to go to the web site immediately.

I also found out that this is a debt collector who uses abusive methods to get money out of unwitting people. I have no debt and have never had debt, since i pay my credit cards off fully each month and cars with cash and paid off my 15 year mortgage in eight years!

So this is some sort of scam that I did not fall for. I didnt go to the web site and I blocked the phone number so calls can no longer get to me.

They called my husband of 10 years saying they were lawyers and were going to file a lien on our house for credit cards we don’t even have, after my husband told them we don’t have credit cards they said well then it’s credit cards your pretty little wife had before we were married and that I was just out racking up debit in his name. My husband told them too sue us and they hung up on him.

They have called my daughter and my mother, leaving messages stating they were trying to get my contact info for a very personal financial matter. They have not called me at all and I have had the same number for several years. I do not owe money to anyone and pay my bills on time. These calls lead my family members to think otherwise. I looked up the EMP Legal Group website and it is complete non-sense. You have to give them all of your personal information to create an account and learn what the owed debt is. Again- there isn't one. The voicemails are a scam, the website is a scam and these people are complete scuzzballs! I have blocked so many scam/spam calls in the last month, it is ridiculous. These people need shut down.

Left a voicemail saying "this is a very, very important message." Stated their office was trying to get in touch with ______ (a family member other than myself). Said it was a friendly notice and to visit their website at EMP or give us a call back at this number. Said the website was EMPLegalgroup.com

Was a scam legal group that had an old credit card that was over 20 years old that had an unpaid balance they are trying to collect 2 days after I sent them email requesting verification yesterday.i went back to site and account said. they sent verification and there was no response after 30 day time limit. They are moving forward collection procedures.i don’t know who they are or where they are located but I haven’t spoken to a real person as of yet and I would like more info on who they are and where they are located!!

EMP Legal Group called, looking for my brother. My brother and I do not have the same last name and we have not lived within 400 miles of each other in more nearly 35 years. They said "It is very important we get this hand before there is another action."

The scammer was male (sounded caucasian), said he was looking for, there was a pause, a robovoice came on with my husband's name, then went back to male voice, and went on to say we needed to contact them at emplegalgroup.com, that they prefer electronic communications and its important to contact them before things escalate, then repeated the web address again.

They have left several messages saying I owe them money. They do not show up on any of my credit reports. Hence I owe no one money. Last year they were saying they were looking for Francisco this year they changed the numbers. They are calling me from several numbers of which I have blocked. Every day it is a different threat. One was saying they wanted me arrested for a social media thing. Another one they were suing me give a false case number etc. This is the third or fourth or fifth year of them continually harassing me. I have no idea who emplegal group is. Their web site does not have an address. The website says it is looking for large sums of money. The website trying to get personal infor as well.

A robot-type call, stating they are EMP Legal Group and they have been retained for collection purposes for my husband (gave his name). They indicated that if I knew this person, or if it was me, to press a number (which I did, because I wanted to see where this would go...), and then the message repeated and requested I press a number, which I did, and the phone rang a number of times then disconnected. It's 7pm on Friday. There is absolutely no unpaid debts by either me or my husband. This is a complete scam. I will be blocking the number, but wanted to report the name and number. I'm sure they've used some innocent person's phone number to mask their actions. I hope you can get them.

Have received voice messages attempting to reach me through a name that I used over 30 years ago while I was married. Previously. They do not give details but simply leave messages over and over again saying that it is very important that I get in contact with them before other steps are taken. I’m not even sure how they have found me because that was my previous name, again over 30 years ago. The voice sounds AI generated. It is always male.
