I was looking for a puppy and finally saw what I wanted on this website thru Facebook. I asked questions and this person asked me to “pm” them as in send a personal message thru Facebook Messenger. After a few exchanges they gave me their phone number to text. They gave me a price. We discussed shipping or picking up. We decided on a puppy but couldnt get it for a couple wks because this business is in a different state so we had to travel. They asked for a refundable deposit to be sure we were interested and to basically ‘hold’ the puppy. We agreed to pay balance upon pickup. They wanted the deposit sent thru paypal to a paypal email instead of their phone number. I tried but it wouldnt work for some reason then they told me I could get a certain type gift card because it was a better card to use, then take pictures of card front and back and receipts and text to them so they could get the deposit. I was really excited about the puppy and so far thought it all sounded reasonable. Although this person was impatient when messenging back and forth and would sometimes type ?? If i didnt answer or make decision re puppy right away. I even put them off and didnt decide right away and said i’d get back if interested. A week later I did and they said still had same puppy which I was surprised because they were advertised on their website. This is when they wanted the deposit. The day i was to send photos of the giftcard they were messaging and rushing me to send it. I said I had appts and couldnt do it til afternoon. The next day she messaged saying puppy was going to vet for last vaccines. I thought that was nice they let me know. Few hours later they messaged that puppy was at vet and they didnt have enough money to pay vet bill to get puppy home from vet and needed me to send addtl money so they could pay bill. I said no because this wasnt our agreement. Balance to be paid at pickup and all vet bills were included in total. I didnt think they were asking as much as many other breeders but its what I was willing to pay. They said they would send my deposit back if I had certain internet pay programs. I said I didnt and I wanted a check sent to me. They had my address for the owner papers. They said had to sell another puppy in order to have the money to send my deposit back. Several days following

we messaged back and forth. I kept asking for my deposit. They kept wanting me to send different amounts of money for vet bills. I finally figured I’d never see my deposit money. I did later see where a couple others put that this business was a scammer. Someone also said that bad reviews were deleted by the owner of website. There were a few good reviews. Confusing also was theres 2 diff websites but almost same name. Phone number we texted with is listed on website.
