Type of a scam Online Purchase

Chinese Company Posing as an American Company

I purchased a smartwatch from Elecgrove and it did not perform as promised. I tried to return the watch and assumed I could send it to Montebello, CA because that was the return address.

They said I would have to return it to China and it would be very expensive. They then offered me a 5% refund, then 10% and the 15%. I turned them all down and lodged a dispute with my credit card company.

After they received my dispute, they offered me a 30% refund or the chance to send it to the "return address" which I assumed was Montebello, CA. When I opted to return it, once again they wanted me to send it to China.

I told them I'm going to file a complaint with the California Attorney General. Will that work? I don't know, but I encourage anyone who has done a review or wants to do a review to Google, "California Attorney General Complaint". The result will be a form where you can file a complaint against this company. The more complaints we can make against this company, the sooner we can get them shut down!

The online website Elecgrove.com is China based and sells Chinese made crappy electronics that do not function. ElecgroveUS as it calls itself, falsely advertises on its website that it will pay for return freight for products that do not work with a full refund. However Elecgrove refuses to pay for return freight to China and refuses the refund saying that both are not their policy though their website states the opposite. This is a fraudulent and dodgy Chinese scam that needs to be investigated by American , Canadian and other authorities and the website needs to shut down before they scam and steal from customers.
