I had a partially blocked dryer wall duct/vent and needed to have it serviced. There was a website which has since been removed after my complaint. The website said eco-safe-cleaning.com. The description of the service said Eco-Safe duct cleaning. The phone number was 866-256-4994. They sent a worker whose cell phone number is 347-421-4544. He removed lint from the wall duct within 5 minutes, and stated that it would cost more to clean the duct. The website said $99 and he said the price was going to be $300. I had trepidation but agreed because I wanted the problem to be repaired. After finishing the work which was not longer than 15 minutes total, this man who later identified himself only as Isaac said that the office could not process our credit card because the machine was broken and asked to be paid with Zelle.Then he asked to be paid a tip. I felt intimidated by this stranger and paid. He left and didn't give me a receipt. A few days later, I tried to use my dryer and the duct was blocked 100% as verified by a GE dryer repairman. I called 866-256-4994 and reported that the job was not done satisfactorily and the situation was worse. The woman whom I spoke to said that the worker reported my job cancelled and didn't know that the servicing was done. I asked to speak with a manager and waited over 24 hours. I called again and asked for the manager and the woman refused to tell me the name of the manager, and then hung the phone up on me. I immediately called back and a man answered. I asked why I was hung up on and he hung the phone up on me.The website said they had an A+ ScamPulse.com rating. I told the woman that there should be a link on their website to the Better Business Bureau, which there was not, and that I will file a complaint. The next day, the aforementioned phone number and the website was taken off of the internet. I see that there another eco-safe-cleaning.com website, 866-493-7649. The testimonials are all copied from other websites (we searched them). My husband spoke to a male who refuses to give his name who is the owner of the account I paid by Zelle. The account says Green Cleaning, 925-791-8866. I searched this number online and it is associated with multiple businesses in different states with the same type of services. We asked for a partial refund to pay for the original $99 service call as advertised, and to refund $200 because the job was not done whatsoever. Afterwards, the worker who came here, 347-421-4544 called me on my cellphone badgering me a bit, telling me that I need to research the length of my ducts because he did the job. I did not argue with him. This concludes my complaint. I never realized how easy it is to put up websites and advertise, and then remove them and cheat people.
