I found Mike O. Group The CEO Club on Facebook. Mr.O group list multiples houses/ apartments for short term rentals that you can purchase through them to post on websites such as Airbnb/Vrbo. I found a property in Houston Texas on his page which I was interested in. Mr.Mike informed me via Zoom call the property is 20,000 and his company would be over the master lease of the property. I sent the money via Chase ACH transfer to his account. Mike proceeded to have me sign a contract showing the property address. Fast Forward about a week later when the unit became active on Airbnb website a guest by the name of Shaniqua left a review saying the property was in a dangerous area and surrounded by an abandoned house and a field of trash. Mr. Mike never showed me the surrounding area before I invested my money. Later down the line around two to three months later another guest left a review saying the property had roaches. Mr.Mike informed me that Terminix exterminated the property but the roaches continued to be an issue. Mr. Mike informed me we could end the deal and he would refund me my security deposit of $1800. Mr. Mike never returned my deposit and now is operating the Airbnb that I invested $20,000 on his own. I have in writing he states he would return my deposit.
