May/2022 reserved van for pick up 6-2, return 6-6. On 5-31 enterprise called to verify reservation. Was told van available. Went to pick up on 6-2, no 6 passenger car available, finally gave us car but was not cleaned, we took it because we were going to New York for family wedding with 6 people. Friday, 6-3, about 7 hours in to trip we smelled burning oil. Got to the resort and checked and most of oil was burned and some dripped around valve. Called enterprise Saturday morning numerous times and got different answers. They told us they would bring new car to exchange but that was not true. Sunday morning sent car to drive hour to enterprise in Newburgh, ny. We were told van available but not true. We had to file a report and tow truck would pick up the car, then they gave us the replacement car for 4 people not 6. Tow truck picked car up from the resort in Kerhonkson, ny. Do not know where they took the car. Replacement car was returned Monday and told them what happened. 2 months later in august started getting emails and letters we damaged the car and need to pay over $600. Called enterprise and they said they had no record of claim number #18688713. There was a charge for toxic clean up?? That was suspicious. This was family trip….. I’ve called enterprise even talked with area mgr and they are just not doing anything, keep getting someone will call you, etc. please help get this resolved, thank you
