claimed there were 2 pending charges on my pay pal account (679.99 and 779.77) that they were investigating and were wanting to transfer my bank funds to venmo so when the “hackers” attempted to get my funds, there wouldn’t be any. they started by having me transfer my account funds to venmo and then had me put them back… thus the fee. then tried setting up a new debit account and transferring $500 which was unsuccessful. i then (while on the phone) drive to my bank to cancel my original debit card.
