He posts job listings offering "equity," but the terms are vague and misleading. The contract doesn’t define how much equity someone will earn; instead, it says compensation will be "based on contribution." He also lures people in by claiming that "funding is just days away." His co-conspirator, Simona Molonfalean, who poses as the company’s CFO, helps recruit workers by presenting herself as an experienced fundraiser. But the funding never materializes.
I know all of this because I worked with them for nine months. From the start, they made promises like, “We’re talking to Netflix about a deal,” or “We’re close to securing an investor in Switzerland.” Nothing ever came through.
Worse, they began launching exploitative “training programs.” One of these was a “narrative training program,” which I strongly opposed. I initially thought I could improve it by offering trainees a valuable learning experience. But it fell apart quickly. The CEO kept assigning these trainees irrelevant work—completely unrelated to the game concept we were supposed to be developing. I had no time to teach because I was constantly putting out fires.
Eventually, he proposed a “game design training program,” even though we had no qualified game designers left—he had driven them all away. That’s when I realized I had been scammed. I had been tricked into working for free.
After I left, I learned from another writer that he had been discussing a “programming training program” behind my back. I suspect my pushback on the narrative program kept him from bringing it up sooner.
He’s not interested in building a company—he’s exploiting people for free labor and never pays anyone.
