Scammer called my husband and me this morning then left a voicemail with a call back number and a case number to reference. The call was returned by my husband who was told that a lien was being filed against his truck and our property. A discussion but no personal financial information nor email references were given; however, my husband was threatened with a tire boot being attached to his current vehicle which would cause him to not have usage of said vehicle nor be able to get it inspected or registered. The agent then said an $11,000 lien could be satisfied with $5,000 to which my husband angrily stated "I don't have it". The agent then suggested that $3,000 would clear this up. The agent then reiterated that he would have a vehicle boot attached if my husband didn't comply. The call ended but it ruined my husband's day.
