Morning of, he messaged me (all messaging done through fb messenger) that his wife had been in an accident and he could no longer drive his car half way. He offered a delivery service which he said he had used before for only $195. (Which I talked him into paying and I would reimburse once puppy arrived).
He even made up a fake delivery website: Express Pet Logistics, where the “driver” was also messaging me updates and pressuring about delays).
Additional fees after puppy was en route included a $500 returnable electronic crate rental. Then I got what seemed like legit messages about puppy needing stamps to cross state boarders, a $465 returnable fee. I was hesitant to pay and waited hours, pressure was placed to keep the puppy moving. Then once at state boarder he conned me into paying a $175 city limit permit. He then said there was an $200 insurance cost. I refused to send any more money.
There’s so many more details, these people are good at what they do. Do not send any money to David’s teacup puppies!! Also beware of the Facebook groups! Do your research.
