I received two calls from "Gary Sanchez" with "the credit card fraud department". He asked my name each time, the first time it was correct, the second time he asked for a male name. Gary Sanchez turned out to be a convincing sounding recording, saying my card had been used in Argentina on hotels, restaurants and erotic toy stores. The second call I asked "what credit card?" but as it is a recording, it just continued with it's script and did not answer. Each time I hung up before any real information was attempted to be stolen. Within 30 minutes, my friend in the same room got the exact same call, same script, same "Gary Sanchez" from "the credit card fraud department". And as I was finishing typing this up just now, I received a third call, asking for a different name, saying my card was used in Turkmenistan! Curious as to what they were after, I went along with it (without using any factual information about myself), the recording said "are you lying?" and I replied "...are YOU lying?" and the call disconnected.
