Received an invoice letter requiring I pay 150.00 to file a biennial statement. it does say in the middle of the statement they are not affiliated with a government body. but without a close look it is easy to miss.

Received notifications in the mail - both asking for payment. One requested $150 be sent to CPS, 1843 Central Avenue #142, Albany, NY 12205, with telephone number 518-XXX-XXXX. The other request that a QR code be scanned or go to newyorkregisteredagent.com/brservice/ to register for Biennial Statement. Both documents are requesting Biennial Fee but have different addresses and telephone numbers. The second has an address of 418 Broad St3 4, Albany, NY 12207-2950 and telephone number 518-XXX-XXXX. Receiving two documents with different information raised flag of possible scam, thus reporting.

Very official looking form arrived with no return address and no official state seal indicating that by law I need to file a biennial statement with the NY state dept of corporations.
