Counterfeit Electronics Reports & Reviews (1)

Beware: WYA America LLC, 'headquartered' in Cheyenne Wy is an empty storefront delivering nothing but false claims and counterfeit parts. They proport to be a distributor of high-quality electronic components that are subject to rigourous quality controls. However, based on our first-hand experiences, we can assure potential customers nothing they say or promise is true. Will Yao Achina, the man behind WYA America, is as disreputable as they get.

The back story: We placed an order in good faith with WYA in Nov. 2022. We were assured they could meet our delivery dates and provide the product photographs, testing documentation, country of origin and other pertinent information we requested. None of that happened. Instead, we received parts that were late and of dubious quality. We had the parts tested, at our expense, and learned they were counterfeit. We immediately informed WYA but received little response, which we learned was their default MO when problems arose. WYA eventually agreed to replace the counterfeit parts. We received the second shipment, but, once again, WYA missed every deadline and did not respond to numerous emails and phone calls. The parts looked suspicious, so, at our expense, we had them tested. They were counterfeit, too. At this point, we demanded a full refund for the parts and testing expenses. We also wanted back the freight charges they fraudulently applied to our UPS account. Will owes us $96,588, but refuses to honor their money-back guarantee.

Bottom line: Will Yao Achina is a con man and a thief. He is untrustworthy and should be on everybody's your "Do Not Buy From" list.
