I was lured into a WhatsApp investment group and now can't withdraw my money.
Invested $1000 and it looked like I was making a good return according to the app. Ophelia kept wanting me to invest more and more. Eventually added $1000 and $3500. They announced they had IPO on company’s and you received a discount on the stock. Ophelia kept wanting me to invest more. I had no more $ and I told her that repeatedly. I said the only way was with a loan which I saw other people ask for on this chat and she said she was so busy with loans.
She said yes to a short term loan and that they could not take $ out of the account, once the loan had to be repayed but I could which made sense. I sold the ipo after a few days and now had $72,000 in the account. I was ready to pay back the loan. However, I can not use the $72,000 in the account to pay the loan of $32,000. I have to pay the $32,000 with outside funds meaning I had to give them this amount. She said I was told this. I told her I had no she hadn’t and I told her I had no additional money right from the start so why would she give me a loan? We all know why. Also see attached photo with comments that confirms the loan has to be paid but by me and no mention I can’t take the money out of the account just that they can’t.
Worse part is I am unable to withdraw any funds until it’s paid. This includes the money I gave them. Now I started to do some research.

Sound familiar?
I am now filing complaints with every Canadian agency out there to help other people. Plus the RCMP
Red Flags:
- Did not google the company if I would have I would have seen this. - - (See picture from google AI)
- Sent e-transfers to weird email addresses that didn’t correspond to the company
-tried to contact other people on the WhatsApp group no response.
- the company and Malcolm Schmidt were not registered as an investment firm with trading rights. According to CSA/ACVM National Registration
