Community Services Block Grant Reports & Reviews (3)

A friend of mine gave me the name of a person who was supposed to be with the Community Services Block Grant and he gave me the link to apply for the grant through Facebook messaging. Then, I clicked on the link, but I did not fill it out. I googled the grant and it sounded like it was legit. I clicked on the link the next morning. It took me to a chat messaging function. Mark Kelvin, who said he was with the Federal Government Grant Agency, asked me to give him some personal information including, full name, mother's name, address, DOB, email, marital status, phone number, phone carrier, occupation, gender, monthly income, and whether I wanted the grant in check or cash. He said he input that info into a database, then said, "For security reasons and the mix up of some numbers and names, we ask that you keep this notification from public notice until your claim has been processed and your money remitted." He also sent a picture that said "your grant application successfully submitted." I also got a message that said "We have verified your information and it shows that you are qualified for the grant. Please be informed never to tell anyone about your grant funds for security reasons and for the safety of your money. Do you understand us now." Then, there was a stamp of approval. Finally, he asked how much money we wanted. He said we needed to pay for the shipping and delivery for the grant. The lowest amount of grant money you could get was $50,000, but you had to pay $1,000 to receive it. Then, after paying, I would supposedly receive the money within 6 hours.

I had never heard of this program but it sounded too good to be true so I researched it. I'm so glad I did! I had never met this person but there were things both her and I had in common ie. we lived in the same area and she attended the same college I'm currently attended. When I called her out by telling her I was going to report her to the ScamPulse.com or block her, she immediately went "unavailable on Messenger".

I received Facebook message from someone portraying themselves as a friend of mine on Facebook. They offered a $300,000 grant and was told that they delivered it to my friend's house.
