Commercial Lighting calls businesses asking who is in charge of their maintenance department, gets their name, creates an unauthorized shipment of light bulbs to the business, and bills the business for an order they did not place. This is a complete scam, not only unethical but illegal.

Type of a scam Fake Invoice/Supplier Bill

This company called and asked for the maintenance manger or person who buys light bulbs. I feel they will now be sending unwanted light bulbs and will also send an invoice. They found our shipping address online and will be sending a catalogue along with a case of sample bulbs even though I respectfully declined. They said they were sending a complimentary cooler then said they'll also send a case of bulbs. At this point they asked if we use a PO system and I said no we are not interested we do not need any bulbs currently. After reviewing their company I see that many have fallen for this scam and it is unfortunate that they are still able to get away with this business practice. I am hard of hearing as well so I may not have heard correctly everything that they were saying therefore did not agree to even their catalogue or anything else, will promptly refuse any packages.

Was callled by them thinking they were a local lighting company i used but was wrong was going to send me some catologs of new lighting fixtures and products which is fine at 1st cause can be useful in my fiels to know what new products come out. But quickly keep trying to sell me lights at a really high price so i think he is sending me lights with a big invoice when it arrives and after i told them no and said dont and cancel everthing once i caught on it was a scam would like to know what to do if they actually send it and try to bill me.
