The seller was offering a panther chameleon for $199.99 with free shipping which is about $400 less than the typical price. I payed the seller by PayPal ([email protected]) and then the seller refunded the money and asked me to resend the payment but to mark the payment as a gift to friends & family rather than marking the payment as for goods and services. I tried to send the money again and PayPal had frozen the account. I contacted the seller to see if he knew what the issue was and then he instructed me to send the payment to a different PayPal account ([email protected]). This caused me to do more research and then I found this thread. Thank you everyone for taking the time to post their experience with this scammer, you saved me from being one of his victims

They offer pet reptiles (in my case turtles) and get you to pay but they claim an additional cost (more than the original item) to get it delivered. the whole thing appears to be one large scam operation. I am doubtful the turtles ever existed!

We ordered a bearded dragon off a web site Www.Coloradoreptiles.net for $400. everything seemed legit. They sent a picture of them delivering the package to the shipping company. Next day we get an email from shipping company requesting a NC PERMIT for $500. I've never bought an animal online so I thought it was legit. Now I'm $900 in. A few hours later another email from shipping company requesting $250 for vet visit. This is where my radar goes off, I say no way, they say ok the shipper will cover it, but the reptile will have to stay overnight at the vet. Next day I get am email requesting another $500 for an NC license fee. At this point I requested a refund they say that I'd have to wait until Wednesday 10 6-21. I emailed them on Wednesday and the email

is no longer valid. I think the seller and the shipping company are

the same.

You should have realized as soon as they sent that photo. Also they requested a NC permit. And then a NC license? That's literally North Carolina driving permit and license. A simple Google search would have told you this. Also shipping companies, doesn't matter which one, would NEVER ask for those things. Specially the vet one. That was a total red flag. BTW, bearded don't go for that much. 400? That was the first thing you should have checked up on
